I got both this type of tape and the "paper" surgical tape. When the nurse took off my original surgical dressing, a bunch of skin came with it -- ouch! At first, I didn't use this tape with my waterproof "in the shower" dressing cover because I was afraid it would also remove skin. However, what I learned was that the paper tape, also supposed to be waterproof, would sort of dissolve in the water and I'd end up with adhesive all over around my incision, not fun.This tape ended up being the go-to, because it did NOT "dissolve" in the water... it stuck well, came off clean, and didn't bring any skin along.

As a CPAP user for 23 years my biggest problem has been dry mouth due to my jaw dropping open during sleep. I tried taping my mouth shut with this tape and it works well for that application. I also use two other chin straps as well. If there isn't enough strips of tape applied the tape does develop a leak if insufficient tape layers have not been applied. It comes of easily in the morning.

The main drawback is that you cannot tear it and so you have to use scissors to separate it from the roll. However, it absolutely does a great job of sticking to the skin without causing irritation as so many others do. The other thing you have to learn in using this tape is that it is very thin and therefore flimsey and sticks quickly to itself if you aren't careful. All in all, it is worth learning to use it if you have problems with irritations and reactions to other types of tape., Once in place this tape really sticks well... I have learned how to use it and it works well for me.

This is the exact same stuff I got at the local pharmacy, just about 80% less cost. This tape also works very well for any type of dressings or bandaging. It is very easy on the skin if you have sensitive skin, and peels off very easy without leaving the goo behind most tapes do. Additionally, it sticks well without adhering so tightly to the skin it hurts to take off. I wish I had discovered this years ao as it would be the only tape I will use now. Highly recommend this stuff.

My husband had to keep his foot dry during a shower. This tape sealed the bag up very well. Thank you for a very good product.
