I doubt that the substance inside of the capsule has the ability to freeze; however, I do not know this for sure. I do know that I make sure I buy the product from seller who will send it with an icepack and can basically prove to me that this has been kept in a very cold environment. If not...it's not worth the amount of money you will be paying.

All products sold through Swanson Health Products are stored in a temperature controlled environment. Unfortunately, we do not ship these products in a cool pack or in temperature controlled trucks. While extended exposure to high temperatures could have an effect on supplements, the shipping time is not long enough to have a significant impact on the quality of the products. The products are kept in a temperature-controlled environment at our facility right up until the time they're shipped to customers. In addition, the bottles are hermetically sealed to provide an oxygen barrier that helps prevent oxidation or spoilage. We test our products throughout the shelf life to ensure they meet the label claim. Since the samples are not refrigerated during shipment, our testing tells us that our supplements withstand heat during shipment without damage to potency.We hope this is helpful.
