USAmade 104mm BCD SharkTooth Pro Integrated Mountain Chainring and Guard fits 1/9/10/11-Speed drivetrains (26 Tooth)

Only for single speed use
This is essentially for single speed/internally geared hubs only. When installed on a child's mtn bike with a centered chainline, the chain tries to climb the integral bash guard in the highest 3 gears out of 8. To have any chance of working with a cassette, it would need a much longer bottom bracket spindle so that the chainline lines up with the outermost cassette sprocket and is highly angled going to the lowest gears. Flipped over and mounted outboard of the spider, the same problem is true in the opposite direction.

Preliminary Review
$ 35.95 for a domestically manufactured 26t ring/ bashguard. I was looking to spend ~$100 on a Wolf Tooth combination and am so glad that I ran across this product.I believe the ring was sent directly from USAmade and the order was processed immediately and delivered in within a few days.It was very easy to install.....almost too easy. I'm running a 1 X 11. It has the ability to add a 64 BCD inner ring 2X front if 26t is too big for you. I'm assuming it's front derailleur compatible. So far so good. I've had it out on one ride so far and it was over some technical terrain and thru some boggy mud. No chain drop and my drivetrain performed flawlessly . USAmade seems to be a stand up company offering a good product at a very reasonable price.

Well made, looks cool
I wasn't sure this would work out, but it did in my case. The chainline moves in a fair amount toward the frame and so you'll need to be aware of that and the potential for tire rub. I don't think I could mount a 5" tire on this bike in the rear any longer, but I wasn't going to anyway. Still have plenty of distance from the tire. Also, I had the right bolts available, but it doesn't come with bolts. Other than that, this is an A+ product that saved me from having to get new cranks just to get a smaller front chainring.

104 bcd
This was a life saver for lowering my gearing. Bolted right up to my 104 bcd cranks dropped my gearing from a 32 front to a 26. That made a huge low gear change. Love it.

Low gear for real mountain biking
Happy to find a smaller than 30t and the small rock-ring gives maximum ground clearance, but it does space the chain super close to the 4.0 tire on the fat bike. Don't forget to pick up some bolts, as this did not come with any. I hope this helps somebody. Thank you :)

26T.
A very well made product. The company has very good customer service. A reminder this is for 9 speed chains .7-8 speed chain will not work because of the 9 speed specific built in chain guard.

No good for 1x conversion. Buy a narrow wide chain ring instead.
After many hours or tinkering and retrofitting this chain ring is now junk. It caused many chain noises, creaking and drops. A refund would be nice.

Three Stars
Nice for the money, but chain drags on the chain guard.
