Excellent little mini PC with surround sound over HDMI
I purchased this to replace an 8-year old desktop PC I was using as a home theater PC. This little guy uses a fraction of the power of the old one and puts off very little heat in my home theater closet. Performance is better than expected for a J4xxx series Celeron. I don't think it would perform very well with even 5-year old games with intense graphics, but it streams Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, etc. at high resolution with no problems, and it plays locally-stored HD and 4K content without any issues. Importantly, audio quality is superb. It outputs 24-bit, 96 KHz audio to 6 channels over HDMI for my 5.1 surround sound setup, which required an expensive add-on graphics card in my old PC. The only issue I've had is that it sometimes does not show my selected desktop background image when coming out of sleep, which is more likely a Windows 10 problem, and this does not affect the functional performance of the PC for the tasks I need it to do. Great value!

Great Parsec Thin Client
I purchased this to replace my big desktop PC tower. Since i built my own gaming server using Proxmox/vgpu, I no longer needed the power-hungry tower; I needed a power-efficient PC to act as a thin client (of sorts). The thin client needed to support a smooth Parsec experience, run Linux (so I am not managing more Windows installs), and preferably have 2x 4K video out. This seemed to be a perfect fit on paper. In practice, it wasn't a great fit. I was able to install Linux Mint 19 (based on Ubuntu 18.04) without any big issue. Linux Mint detected the Intel graphics chip and installed the correct drivers automatically. Parsec worked without any additional parameters and the UI changes from Windows were easy enough for my tech-averse spouse to figure out. However, there was a problem with the audio - specifically, there wasn't any. Some Googling lead me to a post on MinisForum support site, where there was a recommendation to install the audio fix for the N40 model (since the audio hardware is the same). This sort-of worked. The audio out worked fine (albeit rather quiet), but the microphone port didn't. Additionally, the "fix" was to install a specially-compiled 5.12.6 kernel (packaged as .deb files only), presumably with the drivers/modules baked in. This means I wouldn't be able to use any kernel that was missing those modules, presumably supplied only from MinisForum. Non-debian based Linux variants are likely out as well. A better approach would be to supply the blobs themselves for people to install or, better yet, open source the drivers themselves. Not satisfied with the half-baked solution provided, I opted for a much easier (and future proof) way to solve this: buy a USB audio dongle (which is effectively a USB sound card) and use that instead. Thankfully, there are several of those readily available and are pretty inexpensive. Unfortunately, this means there is now a mandatory dongle attached to the PC. The HDMI audio port showed up as usable too, but I wasn't able to use/test it.Another downside to this device are the 4x USB 3 ports. Considering how many USB accessories there are out there, having only 4 ports is rather limiting. I have a USB keyboard, USB mouse, and the above-mentioned USB sound card connected, which only leaves me with one left. I would have liked to see 8 ports.Given all of that, I am rating this as 4 stars. Given the price, this is still a good value and would work just fine with the included Windows 10 Home install.

Solid little emu box with some neat features
First off, I got this with the expectation that it would be used for light emulation of early consoles and PC. My review is based on it meeting those needs. The hardware specs are exactly as described. If you are sure that they will meet your needs then you will not be disappointed. For me the downside was that it was only available with a 256BG SSD, however, with an open 7MM 2.5inch slot I was able to add an additional 2TB SSD without having to reinstall the OS.Boot and OS is as expected. (Quick start-up due to the SSD and Win 10 pro are on par with most of these boxes.) For my use I am bypassing explorer and booting straight into my front end, no issues with that so far.Feature sets that were a Pro to me:• Really liked having the four (4) USB 3.0 ports on the front, great access for game controllers.• BIOS was simplistic, but did let me disable system power on after power plug is attached.• As stated above the 7mm 2.5inch SATA slot was good to expand storage.Cons for me:• I needed to relocate the system/BIOS battery to get the 2.5in SSD to fit when I upgraded the storage.Things I would have liked:• Really, really, would have liked a spacer of some sort so I could have added a 15mm 2.5in driveThings I didn't use:• Didn't use the WIFI or BT, everything I did was hard wired.I will update this review with anything changes, but right now it has fully met my expectations.

Windows 11 can't activate because it has been used by another system
Cannot activate Windows and can't get in touch with tech support. Tried to submit question to MINISFORUM but it will not send. Very frustrated. Ordered 6 of these and they all have to go back. Too bad. Have 6 Windows 10 GK41 and they are great. I guess quality control has gone down.Update: Seller reached out to me and fixed the activation problem. Good support, just a bit slow. But they are located in Hong Kong. Great little unit! Well worth it!

Best computer purchase of my life!
I actually bought 2 of these units; one for me and one for my brother. The came quickly and they were a dream to connect up to ALL of our accessories. My only complaint is that they don't have nearly enough USB ports, but a smart USB hub (or 2 or 3) solved that problem. Both units have performed admirably for over 2 years now and we couldn't be more pleased. When I need another new computer, I know EXACTLY what brand I will be looking at.

Cheap. Works.
This is a fine little computer but it has a couple of issues.1) The HDMI only sort of works. It will output to my TV or monitor, but it will not connect to my AV receiver. Tech support response was fast, but essentially said this is a cheap computer and I shouldn't expect much from it.2) The fan is very loud.
