Why o Why would they only out TWO "feet" on this thing ! ?
The media could not be loaded. They only have 2 suction cups on this thing so it wobbles all over the place. I have a bird bath and I want a colum of water shooting straight up and then the water coming back down on itself. Its a neat effect but I cant do it with this because it wobbles so the water is constantly shooting out in slightly differant directions. Why would anyone design anything with just two legs ? Its so unstable, its like having a table with just 2 legs. Do u think that would work in anyones dinning room? I mean come on put at Least THREE LEGS ON THIS THING. It boggles my mind that I even have to suggest that. Ha ha ha HTG what are they thinking!? Its a nice little pump that suits my needs, how long it will last is still up in the air. Im hoping for at least 4 months or hopfully 5 month because thats what our season is around here in pennsylvania. The last pump was from another company and that one lasted 1-1/2 seasons (about 8 months of constant use). I will update, meanwhile I did order a backup of this same pump. The Last pump (from another company) was also a brushless motor that was supposed to have a long life. I guess 8 months of usage is a "long life" for such a small motor. Again, we shall see.Dave C. Pump works as described, originally I had hooked it up wrong (the output of the transformer I was using put out 12VAC, not DC.) Even after I missed my window of return the seller was willing to exchange it for a new one.

died after few days of use
Pump died after about 72 hours of total use time. I was impressed by the pump when it first arrived. Low noise level and decent suction for a tiny pump. I didn't expect much from a $10 pump in the first place; It was used it to increase the water flow in my tank when needed, but I guess you get what you pay for. Never even ran it for 12 hours, let a lone 24 hours at a time, but it still failed to work all together in just a few day. Took the cover off the intake and checked for clogs or anything that would prevent the fan from spinning, but there's nothing to be found. No noise or anything when plugged in. Just completely dead all together.

Poor pump
This pump is too slow to pump the water

don't run dry
They're quite small, so the inlet clogs easily, and although initially quiet they get noisy with age (especially if run dry). Make the installation easy to service, and buy several for backup . . . they're worth the price, just don't expect them to last forever . . .

It pumps but it's very noisy
Our PetMate Fresh Flow 2 pet fountain is no longer made and parts are no longer available so when the pump went out I purchased this pump because it was dimensionally the same as the old pump but the old pump was 5-12 volts a/c and this pump is 5-12 volts d/c so I had to come up with a new power supply but I did and it works fine. The only thing I can say is it's so freaking loud that it's all you hear in the kitchen area, a couple of my Chihuahuas act like they are sneaking up on the fountain to get a drink because it's so noisy. I'm hoping to find the a/c pumps somewhere so i can replace this noisy one.

Powerful
I use this in my electric water bowls for the animals. They love the flowing water.

Easy to install
Small size but exact volume that I need for my tiered water fountain. 3/8" outlet allows low pressure but great volume to cover all the rocks! Very quiet operation as well! Cannot comment on longevity, but so far so good running it on solar.

It works, it's fun, it's cheap.
The outlet diameter is 8mm. You're welcome.Other than that, it seems to work fine. Flow control can be set with a sliding window that restricts water inlet flow. You can also vary the input voltage between 5V and 12V.The design seems arbitrary - there is no volute shape and the outlet is centered on the motor axis rather than offset, so efficiency would be reduced (if such design aspects even matter at this scale).Haven't run it long so can't comment on real world durability. However, the potting compound does not adhere well to the cable jacket. This could cause a leak path into the electronics to form over time as the unit is handled. It can be disassembled pretty easily in case of clogs. The motor seems to be a 2-pole brushless type, and the impeller is fully isolated from the motor coils.

Good low power pump. Love the flow control.
This is a nice low-power pump. It's so quiet that it's hard to tell that it's running until you see the flow of water. For my application, which has no flow restriction, it easily pushes water up a 3/8" pipe for about 18" of lift with good flow. To test its pressure, I tried running it through a check valve that requires 1 psi of pressure to open and it was able to give me "fast drips" through the valve, so if you need to run through a check valve you need to have a valve that requires almost no pressure to open, or buy a more powerful pump.Unlike many pumps I've tried, this one has a flow control that actually works and can almost bring the pump to a stop. I was able to turn the flow down to exactly what I wanted.I'd say that this is the perfect pump for a small pet fountain (or one of those cute desktop fountains) that needs a small flow of water without much additional spray above the fountain.

No power source
No power source, which is fine except that it's not mentioned anywhere. No spec manual included, plug it in to whatever fits?More and more of this garbage on here everyday.

cheap
extremely low power, even at highest setting. no idea why "warmth" is to be rated - makes no sense.
