I should have read the reviews before I made this useless purchase. The UV light is not bright at all. Literally have to have it on top of the UV reactive object in order to have it reflect and even then its not very bright. Hope I can return this and get my money back.

Works great for its purpose. Could be a little brighter.

I bought this handheld black light to look at the rocks on my collection that should fluoresce. Turns out half my collection is fake and I need to clean my carpets. But it works.Take care to not break plastic pieces when opening to add batteries. There’s a lever on the side I don’t know what it does. When you put the batteries in you do have to push harder than expected.But it does work great and I’m a little ashamed of what I have found around the house.

Works for me...It will get very little use... If you think you will use it often don't buy this one.Plastic and very cheaply made.

I looked at a lot of UV lights before settling on these. I needed handheld ones, but found most of the reviews for other products suggested that they either died very quickly or didn't work from the start. I took a chance on these and was happy with the result! They worked exactly as expected. It was a little tricky to figure out how to get the batteries in at first, but once I figured it out it was smooth sailing.

I bought this to check for caterpillars on my vegetable plants, but it is way too dim.

Completely broken after dropping it ONCE! Do not buy this! If you do, DO NOT DROP IT. I bought it and I was excited to try it out, as I have always wanted a black light. I loved it over all and it works perfectly but then, I made the mistake of dropping it. When I dropped it it seemed to be fine but when I turned it back on it flickered and turned off again. I tried to check the batteries and the whole thing on the back fell out! This is flimsy and weak, but does work well.
