This little package came with everything I needed to put up my string lights, as well as all kinds of odd jobs around the house. I already had a crimper on hand, but if you are working on a flat surface you could get by with using a hammer. Seems very strong and I don't expect to have any problems with it. Works great!

This review is for the "Canomo Cable Railing Kit" with 1/16" by 33 feet wire rope. This is a true 1/16" diameter wire rope with no plastic coating. The "98 Feet" version in this same Amazon listing is a completely different product, with a vinyl coating, D-ring hangers and screws. I really wish that Amazon would stop combining different items like this in one single listing, because it often confuses buyers (and reviewers.)I am using this wire rope to create "anchor chains" for a number of gopher traps that I have, and it is working great. I cut the wire rope into pieces about 20 inches long, and use the crimping sleeves to create a small loop at one end and a larger loop at the other end. The small loop is routed through a hole in the edge of the trap before crimping, and the larger loop is used to anchor the trap in the field (using a stake.) The result is a "tether" attached to each trap that is both strong and very flexible.The wire rope cuts easily with a pair of lineman's pliers, and the sleeves crimp well using a hand tool made for crimping solderless electrical connectors. This is not the ideal tool for crimping these, but it works well enough. I don't know just how strong the wire rope and the crimped connections may be, but I can't pull them apart with my bare hands.When I have used up the roll that I have, I will almost certainly purchase this item again.

Everything you need all in one package for a very reasonable price. I needed the wire to support a chicken-wire fence I had to put around my garden (deer and other varmints) and this was the best price I found. The wire is plastic coated and I like that because its easier to handle. I didn't need the metal loops but the squeezable clamps came in _real_ handy.

This product was used to support patio string lights. When installing, I did not remove the outside sheathing for clamping. The sheathing was difficult to remove, the cable could be damaged and all of the hardware worked with the sheathing attached. Since I purchased this used form Amazon, there were no instructions included. After 24 hours, cable tension was still perfect.The cable is easy to cut with wire cutters without damaging the cutters. Inadvertent unwinding of the cable spool can be easily controlled with a piece of painters tape wrapped around the spool after a length of cable has been removed.I highly recommend this product for supporting string lights.
