WOW! What a difference.
Great product at a great price. My gas bill dropped by 30%. This thing ought to pay for itself in about three years!! I installed it myself, and everything was straightforward, and logical. Zero issues with install. I had to call customer service for help adjusting the temp to 140, and they were great. So, bottom line, great product, great price, great support. How can it get better than that.

Five Stars
i am loving this unit. it produces very hot water and never stops once it gets warm. I work for a general contracting company so i hired my company to install this unit. it went into my water closet very quickly even though the copper lines needed to be re-routed to work with the new heater. i have it set at 135 if i am remembering correctly, and it is perfect. every once in a while there will be a quick second of cold water but it comes right back to hot right away. i have a 3 bed 2 bath 1600SF House with 3 adults living in it and we have never had hot water problems since we switched from a 40gal tanked water heater. The only reason i went to a tankless is because my water heater is in my hallway in the middle of my house. when it failed it flooded my house in the middle of the night and caused a ton of water damage. i will not go back to another tanked water heater after having this. i would highly recommend this unit to anybody that currently has a tanked water heater, especially if it is in your house like mine.UPDATE 3/16/2021: This water heater is simply amazing! I bought a sump pump and bucket the first year so I can do a flush on the unit once a year and I am convinced it will continue to run flawlessly for many years to come!

Awesome!!!!
This was quite a project, going from electric tank to this tankless unit. After initial commission, this unit started up without any issues. I’ve had it installed for about 2 months with zero issues. Going from tank to tankless, it takes quite a while to receive hot water at faucets, and longer wait the farther it has to run. I would like to get a recirculating pump sometime. After hot water is received it stays hot. I have ran two showers and 3 sinks on full hot for several minutes while testing. Make sure when connecting gas line, when using a flex appliance connector, that it is rated for the correct BTU for this unit. I originally installed a lower rated BTU at first. Although the unit worked fine, I replaced with correct BTU size being afraid when cooler weather arrived the utility water gets cooler which the unit will need to work harder to heat. Installed in Northern Alabama. Also, my electric bill lowered considerably! My natural gas was only used on kitchen stove before we installed this water heater and in the past I’ve never paid over minimum gas usage ($8.37). With this unit now running in a 3 bedroom 2 bath home my gas bill is still the minimum!!! This was a great investment and upgrade!!!!

Efficient and effective
This is the 3rd Takagi I have purchased. These things are astonishingly efficient. I installed this one myself and I’m not a plumber - but it’s also not a piece of cake. Shark bite is your friend. I love that you can display the flow rate. The inlet filter is small and is easily clogged, so I would recommend a pre filter. Be sure that you have an adequate gas supply. The venting is relatively painless, but be sure to get the right venting pipe - read the manual. Every time I research on demand water heaters, I always land on Takagi - these heaters really are the best. No hesitation.

Great water heater
I have 2 Takagi tankless water heaters. One in my home (T-H3S-DV-N) and one in a condo (T-H3M-DV-N) and both have been wonderful. In my home we put the unit in the attic and finished out the old water-heater closet as more storage (pantry). In the condo, we installed it on the utility room wall where it freed up much more space for storage. Both units have been rock solid. They heat instantaneously and you can adjust the output water temperature wherever you like. Additionally, both units are so efficient that we were able to get rebates back from the city.

A bit loud and LOTS of condensed output
I have installed 4 tankless in 2018 with this being the only condensing model - WOW that puts out lots of condensed water! That was a bit of a surprise. The one star off is because its a bit loud when the vent fan comes on. Other than that no complaints after 4 months of operation.

HAve been installing Tankless for 20 + years
I have installed several brands of tankless water heaters for twenty plus years. This is the best of them all. Have installed two recently for ease of installation, adjustable temp control, unit quality and price you can not go wrong
