Apple was definitely dumb when they limited external monitor number for the M1 Air. This little hub does a great job giving me two external monitors!The set up was simple, even though I was prepared for it to be a process. Read the directions before you plug the device into your computer and follow them! Piece of cake.I do not run power through the hub—it got a little warm when I did that. I can live with this.

Day 2 of using it and it’s working great.I have an M2 Macbook air and i tried many products this is one of the cheapest and works great for extending to 2 external dispays.

Bought this dongle 4 months ago. I use it daily for work. This is my setup: apple MacBook Air 2020 with 2 monitors. There are more cons than pros. I noticed right away that after running for 20 minutes, it gets piping hot. I try to clear everything away from touching it so it doesn’t melt any cables or other dongles. Another con is you are not able to watch any streaming services while this is connected to your computer. It registers as an illegal form of viewing and you are unable to bypass this, even with the proper HDMI cables. Lastly, it is starting to glitch on me. I’m guessing it’s from the overheating, but my monitors are starting to flicker making it impossible to work. Would not buy this again.

This device is the best thing since sliced bread! I had purchased a different hub about the same price as this one before I knew that my MacBook wouldn't do dual screens without some headache. So I set out researching my options, read tons of reviews on different platforms, and decided upon this one! And I am so happy I did!Ease of use is an understatement! I plugged it in and within a few steps then a couple minutes and there it was! Dual screen usage in clamshell mode! Thank you Hyper for making this product and it being high quality! My work time will be cut down significantly now!If you're on the fence, just buy it!!!!

I was so happy that I was able to use this adapter to see two screens as I am a software trainer. This allowed be to use a meeting platform, have a powerpoint presentation, and see a Word document. All was great until TODAY when one of the HDMI ports just. stopped. working. Right in the middle of the presentation/training session!!! I wanted to cry. I called HYPER tech support, and the best they can do is send me another one..that will take at least 1 week- I don't know- I may need to find a different product. So sad.Karen H

I''m grateful for this little device because apparently without it, there's no way to hook up 2 external monitors -- What!??Why would Apple make it so difficult when most people need 2 extra screens, not just one? Probably to make you buy the more expensive laptops (I have the MacBook Air M1).Anyway, this usually works like a charm, now even better than when I first purchased it. One monitor used to shut down, so I'd have to reboot, even if I tried closing and re-launching the app. But, now I just go into settings and toggle it on and off and the screen usually comes back on without a hitch.Oh, and I love that I don’t have to use another port to charge my computer because this device has a built-in USB-C port allowing you to charge directly from it. In other words, you just use one USB-C slot for both external monitors and to charge the laptop. I really appreciate that.However, my only gripe is that it keeps throwing my open apps around to other monitors whenever it goes to sleep. The MS Office docs (Word, Excel), usually stay put on the main screen, but all the Safari and Chrome tabs, along with Adobe just go wherever they darn well please, lol.So, I'm constantly re-organizing my browser tabs so they're in places I can find them. Also, Adobe never seems to stay at maximum size when the laptop sleeps, it minimizes on some screen so I have to search for it.If the manufacturer can resolve this issue, I'd probably give it 5 stars, but for now I'll stay with 4.

Just what I needed!

Great product and it has worked great with my "great" M1 MacBook Air. This was my 4th hub and/or docking station, none of which worked with the M1 for dual monitors. I've had this for about 8 months...panicked today b/c either one monitor would work or the other but not both. Remembered that I had just updated my Apple software to Ventura, so I uninstalled the software, then reinstalled...it's working great! Would highly recommend it and would purchase it again! Please ignore the mess in the background!
