The build quality is very impressive, vibration is so well managed, many useful tool bits are included, battery charged quickly. Wish there was some way to lay out and organize tools within the case. There seems to be room between the foam insert and top lid. In fact, there are projections on the back side of the foam that “just happen” to fit the mount hole in the tools! Perhaps a customized insert like this would be handy.

I wanted the best multi tool, and more often than not, that means buying the original. For many years at my job I used to have access to a Fein Multi tool, and it was really excellent. I decided the time had come for me to buy my own.

This is the most durable and powerful multi tool I have ever used. My Ryobi lost it's bearings at only 3 months old. So I got this bad boy. This will rip thru some tough wood we've other will not.

Oscillating tools are like electric guitars - everyone should have one, and they make the world a better place. I bought one made by Fein on the recommendation of a contractor who was rebuilding my deck.It has the feel of a quality tool. It’s solid, a bit heavy but not too heavy, the speed dial works smoothly, and the soft start is both helpful and very cool. For a change, it has a long cord. I have used it once so far to replace some trim above my garage that was being colonized by some hungry termites. It melted through the tasty Doug fir leaving clean straight edges that were easy to mate with the new boards.Using it for the first time was a revelation, opening up worlds of possible DIY’s that I was dreading to tackle with a keyhole handsaw or one of those wood butcher single-ended hacksaw blade handles. ‘Scuse me now. I have a medicine cabinet to install!
