So FedEx lost my first shipment, but the company was very responsive and helpful at getting another sent out quickly. I was unsure what to expect, since it seemed like most of the begative reviews were from people who live in humid climates that don't understand how evap coolers work. If you don't live in a very dry climate, this product is not for you because adding moisture to the air is the last thing you need in the summer. Thankfully I live in the high desert and already cool my home with large evap coolers rather than air conditioners. My issue was that my child's room got quite warm at night, and the nearest cooler to her room is a roof mount, but we prefer to keep her bedroom door closed at night for fire safety. A small portable fan/cooler seemed like a good solution.Pros: this product does a decent job at cooling whatever it is pointed at. While it doesn't really lower the room temp by much if at all, it can feel downright chilly if it's blowing right at you. The inclusion of ice packs is a nice touch, and that in combination with cold refrigerated water seem to generate a nice cooling effect. The water tank is a good size, and the water doesn't run out too quickly. I fill it right before bedtime and it hasn't run out through the night yet. I like the oscillating feature because like I said, it can get a bit chilly when the fan is pointed directly at you constantly. I like the timer, and that it goes up to 12 hours, since in our climate it can drop 30 degrees outside from daytime temp throughout the night, so what is good at 8pm can be too much at 3am. There's no risk of hurt fingers because the slats are nice and thin. The "natural wind" setting is a nice feature.Cons: the remote maybe a nice feature, but the backing slides off easily and coin batteries are a choking hazard for small children, so I don't use it. Unfortunately that means I need to go into the bedroom to adjust settings, and the beeping is unnecessarily loud. I wish the sleep setting was adjustable, as a half hour before slowing the fan is usually too short a time. During normal use, the screen darkens after 1 minute, but when you set the timer, the temperature display stays on after the fan shuts off, which seems silly to me, and the light is actually quite bright. The temperature display is also really inaccurate. I keep a digital thermometer in the room, and there is usually a 5-10 degree difference in what the fan says the temp is. There is a clear strip on front to see the water level, but it's still difficult to judge without actually looking in the tank. Perhaps if it was tinted rather than clear it would be easier to tell. The small tab that holds the water tank in place is rather flimsy, and one corner of the dank doesn't quite line up. The fan is quite tall and would be more tip resistant with a larger base, which will become an issue once my child is no longer in a crib.Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase. Though there are some quirks/ design flaws that make it less than perfect for my application, it's overall a decent product, and I imagine using it in a small office or adult bedroom would not have the same issues.

I use this for medium size bedroom and it was great at keeping the room cold. They fan was great and it gets extra cold when you use the ice blocks. To be honest I kind get a bit lazy to put more ice blocks on it at night and it still keeps the room cool especially now during the summer. It doesn't make much noise it's more at the sound level of a white noise machine.

I live in a desert, and cool my house from a large evaporative cooler. and it's still not very effective. Maybe there's just not enough media soaking up water to really provide cooling, I don't know. I just know I'm disappointed because it doesn't really cool a bedroom. It feels cooler if I'm right in front of it, but so does a $20 fan...

Bought this for my garage when we hang out in there and it works great. Keeps my whole two car garage cool. I love that I can put cold water and ice packs (that it came with) in it to lower the temp of the air blowing. Over great product!

This is a great little air cooler. So far seems to help keep our upstairs bedroom pretty cool. We haven’t gotten our electric bill yet to see if it has affected the bill. But this little cooler seems to work as we expected. I would definitely recommend.

I wish it was biggier

Two of them stopped working, and of course the time frame is up for me to return any of them.

If you put your water cooler on high settings it has condensation and gets water on floor. It also needs two more water bottles.I wish you could run it more than 8 hours continually but it does good
