HON HVL220.VA10 Mid Back Task Chair - Fabric Computer Chair with Arms for Office Desk, Black (HVL220)

I am very satisfied with this chair.Packaging was excellent, and there were extra screws provided and labeled as extra, so it wasn't just a mis-count.Instructions were simple and too the point and worked. Easy assembly.The chair is comfortable and appears to be very well built. I expect it to last a while.UPDATE: Well, it's Jan 25, 2015, a couple years later and I am more satisfied. The plate holding the shaft and adjustment levels became broken leaving the chair wobbly, and I called their Customer Service. Even though I was unable to find the serial number on the chair, they are sending the parts out under warrant. I an extremely happy with the chair and the company - especially at such a low price point!Update: Jan 29, 2015, the parts they promised came a day or so early, it took all of about 5 minutes to remove the broken part and install the new part (the post and adjustment lever under the seat). So, excellent service.

I just assembled this chair in less than 30 minutes. The chair is well designed and solid, and good thought was given to the assembly instructions. The seat cushion and seat back are firm but very comfortable. The lumbar support on the seat back I find perfectly positioned and comfortable. While there is no separate back/forward tilt on the seat back, such adjustments could be be made if desired simply by the addition of washers at the attachment point of the seat back to the underside of the seat cushion. The cupped arm rests are adjustable, and I find them comfortable as well. I can easily recommend thoughtful consideration be given to this chair as an excellent choice for a reasonably priced but quality task chair, and would have no hesitation purchasing additional chairs for our company when the need arises.

We replaced a few cheap admin assistant chair with these and they look and feel good. The seat and back are nicely padded and covered with standard fabric. Arms are stable and adjustable though I'm not a fan of the concave tops and would prefer solid/flat. Height adjustment and lockout both work as expected and they have the proper amount of tilt. Adjustment features are limited but that is known and expected at this price point. Assembly takes 15-20 minutes and no extra tools are needed but watch for sharp edges, cut myself. Overall a good value, hopefully they hold up for at least the 5 year warranty period.

This is Hon quality at its best. The material on this chair is very futuristic and breathes very well with allowing effortless movement. The adjustment range will fit large and small humans well due to the very low level height starting point. The armrests actually are made for a desk because they allow you to position comfortably close unlike most others. The armrests also will meet the table height! Yes, perfectly allowing you to keep your arm straight. They also have a huge range of motion unlike most task chairs. With its five year Hon warranty who could ask for anything more. It is a highly durable chair with a smart sleek design at a fantastic price!

My wife has a Hon office chair, so when I replaced my home office chair, I decided to get the same model.Compared to my wife's older Hon model, it's not the same in terms of build or comfort. The chair makes noises when you sit, it's very uncomfortable and caused leg pain after an hour or so.Since it was past the return window, I got rid of it and got a far more comfortable chair from another company.

I bought this HON HVL220 chair from Amazon for two reasons:1. It was made by HON Furniture which is a very good company.2. Most of the Amazon reviews for this chair were very positive about how comfortable it was.Sadly, I must say that I did not like the comfort of the HON HVL220 seat. However, there are some very good things about this chair: It is well built and has an excellent warranty; Hon’s Customer Service Department responded quickly and professionally when I found a problem with one of the chair parts; the back of the chair is comfortable and has an excellent lumbar support.

Comfortable. I am disabled with severe stenosis in lower back which means sciatica from the depths of hell itself. I need a chair with firm support and a good back. I also have the small dining area in my apartment set up as my desk/craft area so needed a task chair that wouldn't take up a lot of space and this fits the bill perfectly. I thought the arms wouldn't be sufficient support but after sitting in it for a few hours found I was quite comfortable. I also found that after adjusting the chair for my comfort level that after a few hours sitting I could get up with no more than a few grunts and groans. (I also have arthritis --bone/bone in knees). Anyway, it's a comfortable chair and I FIT (yes--I'm not only an oldie and a goodie but there's also a lot of me). I put the chair together myself with ease and just a little pain (and I recently tipped over in my old chair causing injury to my shoulder). It's a good, functional chair. What more could you want?

Working from home full time this year had me looking for deals on a herman miller and if I suddenly come across 1000$ I don't need for anything else, I may check in on an Aeron, but until then, this Hon will do just fine. It is nicely padded, I don't regret getting one with armrests, I almost didn't do that and after only one day of sitting in this chair with the adjustable armrests, I don't feel so achy anymore. Back support is nice, too.Good Chair.Took maximum 30 minutes to assemble, easy instructions, spare parts, easy design.Crappy packaging- box was broken on arrival, with the little lever sticking out, but luckily not damaged.

Bought this chair for my son's room. It was easy to assemble and build quality is quite good. Comfort is also good and the height adjustable arms are a real plus at a computer desk.
