Q: Do these really need to be handwashed? I'd prefer something that can go in the washer, warm water.

I use Washer in Cold water. I believe they would fade more in Warm water.

Q: Are these printed on both sides?

Yes, they are printed on both side. However, there is a made in China actually screened into the fabric in one corner on one side. It should have been a pull-off label.

Q: What are the dimensions?Are they suitable for adults?

The ones I received are a 21" square. In my opinion they are suitable for adults. I give then as gifts to adults when they visit my Ranch, and they use them for neck kerchiefs, head bands and hankerchiefs. When I washed mine, they did not lose their bright red color.

Q: Are these 100% cotton?

YES, IT'S STAMPED ON THE FABRIC- 100% COTTON
