I had bought this for a Christmas present (2022) for my bf. I just put it outside (June, 2023 @ about 2pm) in the daylight. I thought that it was absolutely gorgeous EVEN if it didn't light up (but was hoping it would, of course). So I eagerly waited for the sun to go down & I was not let down whatsoever...it actually far EXCEEDED my expectations. It sparkles, it stayed BEAUTIFULLY lit ALL night long until dawn (& was still on & I didn't even get it in the sun until 2pm). The one I got (pics included) has the solar panel in the glass ball with a REPLACEABLE battery that included directions as how to remove & replace. As of today, I notice this exact gazing ball in the blue/purple isn't offered (but there is one similar with lighter colors). I think that one works the same way as mine, as it doesn't seem to have an extended solar panel but rather, inside (making it more attractive too). I had my doubts about how well this would absorb the sunlight as I have several different solar items that all have the outside/separate solor panels. This solar gazing ball BEATS them all - hands down. Again, it stayed lit ALL night until dawn (& didn't seem to fade). One last thing I feel worthy to mention is that where I have placed my gazing ball, it does not have 360° of uninterruped sunlight - I have it in the corner, on my balcony, some obstruction from the overhang of the deck & the slats of the decks during parts of the day as the shade changes location throughout the day. I initially thought I may have to move the solar ball to allow for a full unobstrucive spot in the sun - I did not.

I love this. It’s a nice size ball and seems like good quality. Very pretty in my garden. It’s not really bright, more subtle.

This light arrived in the winter so I plopped it in a plant pot sitting by a window in my sunroom to wait until summer before I took it outside. I love it so much I think I need another one just like it for outdoors because this one is staying right where I put it. It puts off a lovely pattern when lit and I see it softly glowing in the sunroom at all hours of the night. I wouldn't consider it a light source, but it is a lovely glowing decoration. The colors very pretty with the perfect pop of red.

I plopped these in a new bistro area. Simply adorable. Brighter than expected and long lived.

We bought these a few months back and are totally pleased with the quality and workmanship. They last a long time.

It is very pretty!! It shines at night! It is in my front yard and is very noticeable and adds beauty to the yard. The stand that comes with it keeps it above the ground. It is very sturdy!!

Purchased 3 of these. They are beautiful and but only worked for the first 2 months. However, after 2 months none of the 3 light up. Of course they are out of the return window now. Regretting my purchase as I bought them not only for the blue color during the day but the blue light at night. Alas, no blue light at night now. Waste of money.

I love this small gazing ball! It's quite bright and colorful. I wasn't expecting it to be as colorful as it is. It's a nice addition to my garden.
