This thing works!
This think was zapping almost immediately when I set it up.I’m in south Florida so we’re in bug heaven. You probably can’t see all the different dead bugs that stuck to it inside, but that’s a lot.Hard to identify them all but I see flies, mosquitoes, moths and little beetles.I know that for mosquitoes you need to run a machine for about a month to break their egg hatching cycle before you see a difference. We will see!The item was super easy to set up just plug in.You’ll definitely need to clean it out periodically due to some bugs getting stuck to the grill, but that’s easy.Looking forward to seeing if we can get a little relief soon as we are entering rainy season.I’ll update later..This item was boxed up well and was received quickly. I may buy another one as well after seeing the results of the first week 😊

Decimated in one day
So, I typically don’t write reviews for products. However, I feel extremely compelled to say something about this particular bug light. We have been struggling with mosquitoes in our area for months now. I’m not even kidding when I’m saying this is the second day after getting this product and after hanging up just one night I believe it is killed every flying insect in my yard, I can now peacefully go out onto my deck and enjoy my morning coffee without being Swarmed with all kinds of flying insects. I saw that there were a lot of sales for this product and good reviews and because of my experience in just one day I had to write a review as well. I highly highly recommend this product. It says that it covers a half acre of property and I’m sitting on .67 acres And it did an incredible job.

Worth it
To be honest, this is my first bug zapper that doesn’t look like a fly swatter. However, this magnificent gadget showed up at my house 3 hours early and I am speechless.Picture this, you are outside enjoying your herbal infusion, and since it is summer time in the south, insects are everywhere.Fast forward 16 hours and one amazon order later, said gadget arrives and you wait patiently until dark. As soon as the sun hides and the moon rises, I once again stepped outside to infuse myself herbally, but this time I brought protection, I connected said fantastic apparatus and I spent the next few hours watching insect after insect meeting their maker. It was glorious!Update: I forgot to hit submit, the sun is now up and I am still here. I watched hundreds of insects perish in the Battle of the Tall Blue Light, the PTSD from this night will follow me forever, but not those f$@@&@& bugs.Although I may never recover, I DO recommend this zapper. It was worth it!

Works pretty good for me
This has worked pretty good for me. None of the reviews talked about termites so I wasn’t sure if it would work on termites but it does! It killed about 20 termites on the first day and then probably 30 more.I haven’t seen anymore flying or they just got smart and don’t show up in the same place.I know it’s a temporary fix, probably need to get my grandmas house tented soon but for now this has been a savior.I keep this near the sliding door to the backyard where it’s been a problem so kinda indoors which makes me a little nervous bc this looks like an out door equipment. So far working great but I only keep it on for 3 hours at a time bc I want to make sure the zapping of the bug doesn’t accidentally start a fire.I would buy this again

It really works!
I use a pest control company that treats indoor and outdoor, but for some reason flies had begun swarming around the front door of my house. This light ended that. I can open the front door now without having to fight them off. Also, from the mess of wing pieces left around the light, it took out a lot of moths and other flying bugs too. I sat the light on a table top on my front porch instead of hanging it. It works well.

I wish I'd bought three of them! Works like the ones from the 1980's! Superb!
The media could not be loaded. Those of you who remember the bug zappers we had in the 80's will also remember how PETA pushed hard enough to get these zappers to be a little less 'traumatic' for the bugs, and hence, they didn't perform, sound, zap, or smell, like the original zappers did. What a disappointment that was! I'm an animal lover, but when it comes to bugs, that's a big NOPE for me. Especially mosquitoes, here in muggy, humid, hot, wet north Florida. All year long...I have pretty much went for 3 decades without the satisfaction of those beloved old bug zappers from the weird 80's. I'm telling my age here folks, haha. I don't care. I just know that now, at the ripe old at of 56, I have FINALLY gotten myself a bug zapper that works! Just as good as the old ones, friends!I got it last week, when Amazon was having their spring sale. It was $33. I'm angry I didn't buy three of them! Had NO idea it was going to work so well! I tried to take a short quick video for you, but for some reason, my iPhone 12 can't capture the zap! sound. It sounds more like a thud, or thump, or thunk. No idea why, but you can still see the zap. AND (I'd forgotten this!) you can SMELL the little F$(#*#s when they get zapped! Gross, but yeah, SO satisfying, to see, hear, AND smell their fear and loathing and death! You will NOT be disappointed! You WILL be amazed at how many bugs you're gonna kill. My husband hung ours outside the kitchen window, and we could see the sparks flying, but couldn't hear it, until he opened the window, and then it sounded like bacon frying, it was cooking so many bugs at once! Here in FL, we live out in the woods, and it rained recently. The mozzies are back out and big!I don't know if FLIES are attracted to this light or not, but al kinds of other bugs were, so I'm assuming they are too. I WILL be buying another one of these, no, make that TWO more of these, when they go back on sale. One tip--so important: Do NOT put this light near where you plan to be--- because you will be inundated with bugs! They go nuts as soon as the light comes on. I have all kinds of those GOVEE branded colored lights you put on your house, under the eaves, and as spotlights, rope lights, etc, all GOVEE brand, and I told my husband I was afraid this light won't attract the bugs, not with all of my colored GOVEE lights going, but I was wrong!Make sure you hand this light about 25 feet away from where you plan to hand out. They will go THERE, not where you are. And then kick back and watch the sparking action! I swear, it's better than a Marvel movie!
