This is a good hair product.Styles hair well and holds into place.Like the matte look it gives to hair. You do not need much which means this is good value for money and will last.Nice small tin, so good for travel.

Over the years, I must have spent a fortune on different hair products, being a typically vane man! Each time, the products seem to get more expensive, with varying degrees of success (or disappointment), in trying to find that elusive 'perfect' one.I've tried gels, wax, clay, cream, paste, powder, you name it. You see, whilst I have a healthy, full head of hair, it is also very fine. So my problem is to find something that adds thickness and volume without looking slick or giving the appearance of thinning. It's definitely a minefield.This product is as close as I've come. A small amount spread over my fingers and drawn through towel dried hair evenly distributes the paste. A comb through to dress my style, and away I go. Simple. It's not sticky, or greasy. It leaves a nice matte finish, and washes out without any fuss. Smells nice, too.I'm not suggesting this is the last product I shall ever use, but I have to say, it's pretty close to it. If I could only ever use one for the rest of my days, I'd be happy enough with this. I was impressed, first of all, by the size of the tin, it was larger than a lot of the other similar men's haircare pastes that I have tried. The paste itself is really a paste, a lot less hard than other hair waxes. This does mean that the paste is much easier to scoop out and warm between my fingers. It does, however, mean that the product gives a little less hold than you might imagine. My hair is relatively short and quite fine, and although this paste gave some structure and hold to my hair, it wasn't quite strong enough to hold a style for very long, so I would certainly recommend it more for thicker, coarser hair or for longer locks that maybe don't need quite the structure or hold that shorter hairstyles require.The paste has a slightly sickly smell which doesn't linger too much; I would have preferred a less strong scent, but it's not too bad.Overall, this is a decent paste that is actually a paste and would be ideal for thicker short hair.

I typically use this kind of product be it the V05 matt hair paste or from Fudge so I was excited to try this product.What I am looking for is something that is easy to apply evenly, something that gives a good hold, something that doesn't clump and most importantly is not greasy after applying.This product from Men Rock succeeds in all of these with varying levels of success.The most important 2 are good hold when shaped and then not leaving a greasy look. For the latter it does not leave me looking greasy so bonus, and the hold is pretty decent for a while before it starts to flatten.Slightly disappointed with that facet. But overall it does what I need but probably needs a juj of hairspray to keep it's shape better. But additional bonus is it smells fantastic. So it's up there with those high street products for sure.

This paste definitely delivers on the matt finish with no shine so if that's key for you then this will work for you. It's water-based which means it washes out easily but it's also quite easy to overwork the hair and lose some of the control as a result of that. This is fine for very short styles but the longer your hair gets, the less effective the hold from this light paste.

This is good quality styling paste. It has a proper matt finish, no gloss to it at all, so looks natural unless you clump your hair together.You don't need much for it to work its magic. It's a little sticky but does a very good job of getting your hair where you want it - I have very short hair and I think it's ideal for short lengths.I've tried it on wet and dry hair and it works fine on both - though I like it best on damp hair so I usually towel dry my hair after a shower before putting the paste in.Once the product is in your hair, you can re-work it if you need to.It's easy to wash it out unlike some styling products.

I've never used or even heard of Men Rock, but I have to say this paste is pretty good. I have short hair which I usually spike or have messed up, and this keeps it all together, but can be restyled if needed. Being water based its washed out really easily too. I'm not sure its worth the twice the price of my usual clay though, so one star deducted for that.

This paste has a nice aroma, and is pretty economical to use as only a small amount is needed. It has a firm grip which should hopefully last all day. Pricewise, its at the premium end of the market and maybe a little expensive for everyday use, but a great product none the less.
