Alessi"You" Tea infuser in 18/10 Stainless Steel Mirror Polished, Silver

This is a beautiful tea diffuser. I find it works best when I pour the water directly through the diffuser. The only difficulty is emptying it. However it is sturdy enough to hold up to being tapped against the sink edge.

This infuser is perfect for one cup of tea, and the design is way better than other products. I like the fact it's all stainless steel. The picture shows you to scoop some tea leaves with a small spoon, but you can just scoop out the amount of tea leaves you want with the open end. It only deserves a 4 stars because sometimes it's difficult to get the leaves out of the infuser. Half the time it comes out with little effort. Other times, you are flinging it as hard as you can to get the tea leaves out and it still get stuck. I would need to use a chopstick to scrap it out.

You'll need a tall mug, rather than a tea cup. Doesn't hold enough tea for a tea pot. Its holes are very small, and hot water doesn't flow through swiftly, and sometimes not at all. Works best with potent teas, like Lapsang Souchong, as a consequence. Teas like Darjeeling end up, as my grandmother used to say, weak as a kitty.It looks so great that you really want it to work. I considered getting it for a friend's Christmas present, but I don't know what she drinks her tea from. It could be entirely useless to her.Not sure if they still make it, but Alessi made a little plastic man whose arms clutched the side of a cup. Same issue. Wonderful looking, but it didn't work.

I am quite disappointed in this infuser. Its very pretty, scoops tea well, and even is relatively easy to clean. However, it needs to be stuck in a very tall cup so the tea leaves can be infused with water properly. With the bottom being narrow, you need to fill it at least halfway with tea leaves, but then the top leaves do not get 'soaked' when placed in a hot cup of water... unless the cup is very tall. And I do not have tall cups. I do not want to buy tall cups, since I already spent so much money on this ridiculously expensive infuser.

beautuful item but needs the tea leaves to be scraped out after use, not so practical

The most art design oriented tea infuser I've ever seen. I gave it in a box with a beautiful mug and it was the perfect gift. I have always loved Alessi.

It is a lovely looking tea infuser. However if you use loose tea it tends to get stuck in the narrow part and is difficult to clean. I will try and buy a longer leaf which may work better

Arrivato nei tempi. Molto carino come design e come idea. Regalo apprezzato sul momento ma poi mi è stata segnalata la scomodità e che non verrà più utilizzato. Il the gonfiando si incastra completamente ed è un problema toglierlo in fondo nella parte più stretta, non viene via solo sciacquandolo ma è neccessario l" uso dell'uncinetto. Quindi devo dare due stella dato che non è pratico.
