Intercultural Communication in Japan: Theorizing Homogenizing Discourse (Routledge Contemporary Japan Series)

As an Asian Studies major and International Affairs student and someone who’s spent five years in Japan, I’m interested in contemporary studies of Japan, especially those focused on queer identities and sexuality. I loved the wide variety of topics on intercultural communication, especially queer identities, but also the focus on the rise of J-Pop and K-Pop in Taiwan, Mixi (Although it would be interesting to see academics touch on Men's Mixi (Which was essentially Grindr before Grindr stole the show) and Japanese male-queer femininity. You go into this source expecting a more narrow blend of topics, but this turned out to present a range of new issues that sparked my interest as well.
