This book is really good for learning the basic of chemistry.

The book is easy to follow and has lessons and review problems. It covers the subject thoroughly and will prepare the student for the subject if completed.

The book was helpful in studying. The information was easy to understand, and I passed my exam, so all's well that ends well.Unfortunately, there were some fairly major innacuracies in it that even I knew were wrong. According to this book, the nucleus of an atom is held together by gravity(!?!), which contradicts basic physics, and even basic chemistry textbooks say otherwise.The book also referred to water vapor as a liquid solute dissolved into the air, whereas water vapor means gas, by definition.Finally, the book seemed to confuse mass number (which is just a count of protons and neutrons, has no units, and is always a whole number) with atomic mass, which is the mass of an atom, has units of mass, and need not be a whole number.Aside from these (rather egregious) errors, the book was informative.

This book is making PreAP Chemistry so easy for my son.

I bought this book for my daughter to learn some chemistry before the school year starts. The book includes practice problems and an answer key, but several of the answers in the answer key are incorrect. This was really confusing.
