Havier than other bone China bowl
Overall the bowl is well made, good quality, good size with reasonable price. We use bones China ware a lot because it's normally lighter. This bowl seems a little heavier than others with the same size, but not easily noticeable. We feel safer for heating up food with the bowl in microwave too.

So nice to eat pasta from a bowl instead of a plate
I've always liked Mikasa's bone china and the Trellis pattern in particular but wonder if it's not a bit more fragile than my Cordon Bleu Bistro dinnerware. This was my excuse to have a few pieces from Mikasa. I know it's dishwasher safe but I prefer to wash these by hand.

Item arrived broken
Plates seem nice. They have a shallow lip which is great for pastas or salads. I would have liked them except for the fact that one of my plates arrived broken.
