some pretty good tips, quotes and examples but
I kept waiting for the part about when slightly less than charming people present. I mean we aren't only going to need charm at parties or speaking with our spouses or manager. How does one deal with rude or aggressive customer service reps whether in retail or government or utilities? How to start a conversation with a CSR or other service personnel who is giving off a hostile or aggressive vibe? Often it takes more than a friendly genuine smile and a hello. It takes perseverance despite rudeness, sullenness and disrespect; compassion and understanding that they may not have been adequately trained; and a determination to treat this person with respect, pleasantness and empathy. A bit of humour and surprise can probably help too. Hard work. Lol.

Good read yet content is obvious.
I f you're interested in becoming charming on a friendly level this`'ll do it for you. However the lessons taught are mostly just common sense: eye contact, smiling, praise and being sincere etc. There are a few points that helped increase my knowledge however I honestly can't recommend this book at its full price. Good, but not THAT good. Also, if your idea of charming is in regards to women and dating what you learn here is a decent foundation however you'll need to tune it with your knowledge of dating and attraction.Gave it a 3/5 simply because I could spend two hours on YouTube for similar results.

Simple but effective
If you're read any books on improving personal interaction, then a lot of the theory is familiar to you. However, it's packaged in an easily readable, concise package. It wasn't overly taxing but I found it a good reminder/refresher to study.

amazing book for these who value communication skills
amazing book for these who value communication skills. I found it very helpful and lots of great tips. However reading this book is only the first step to success. The 2nd one which is even more important is implying all these tips in the daily life which takes a conscious effort and time to form new habits..

Every teenage male should read this
Well written and easily accessible as are all Brian Tracy's books. In this modern world where social manners are lost and a men often dare not open a door for others least he be called sexist is a manual of how to be nice to people. What you should do, when you should do it and why.Highly recommended for any professional.
