Overall good, couple minor issues
I bought the 10 gallon baskets, with plans to use them with 5 gallon trees.As others mentioned, the bags are a very thin gauge wire. It is woven small enough to keep gophers out. Overall, the thin gauge wire may be a good thing for roots to be able to manipulate as they branch out.The bags were quite a bit smaller than I expected. I don't think it would be possible to get a 10 gallon plant in one of these. There is no flat bottom on the baskets, which I think is really hindering the overall size. That said, these were the perfect size for my 5 gallon application. They took the whole root ball and I was able to wrap it to the trunk of the tree.Overall, im happy with the purchase and would buy again. 1 point for me, 0 points for the gophers

Bad pic, good product
The 'root guard' in the picture looked too small, so I almost didn't buy it. However, what the pic showed, was just half the product. Product, actually, much better than I thought. Bad pic, good product

They definitely stop the gophers!
I got these after gophers took over my entire garden and killed all my milkweed by eating the roots. I've since planted 2 new milkweeds into these baskets and there are piles of dirt right up to the baskets but my plant roots have remained undisturbed. I just ordered another pack. Everything I plant now will go into these baskets.

Protects from my son
I love these for my plants. I use these to go around the whole plant, instead of the wrapping it around the root as the listing states. I like that it’s a mesh, so I am able to manipulate and cut as needed. I could’ve sized down since my plants are smaller, but I was able to fit 2 plants under one bag. (I order the 10 gallon bags). I will be ordered the biggest size for my bigger plants.

Not 10Gal volume, and very bad quality
The actual volume of the one advertised to be 10Gal is a little under 5gal. The picture shows a 5gal drinking water bottle in the "10gal" gopher basket, it is evident from the picture that they are not even half the advertised 10G.And the bags tend to fall appart when you pull the top appart to place a plant inside.overall I don't recommend
