I have always worn my hair with a "bump" at the front, but due to illness I have felt that my hair was getting a little thinner at the front, and until I can grow it back I needed a little help.I bought the dark brown one, it is a "little" too reddish brown for my dark brown hair, but when covered with my own hair this is not noticeable.What I do is style and diffuse my long curly hair as normal, then section off the front so it is hanging forward. Then place the bump/comb at the point at which you want to create your bump. I then flip my own hair back up over the false bump, and use hair pins to secure it in place. The combination of the bump/comb itself and the additional pins, secures it totally well, and with your own hair flipped over the bump and secured behind it, it is essentially not visible at all, but it gives a boost of volume to your hair.I feel these are better than the "spongey" type bump combs, I bought those at the same time but after using the false hair/bump/comb first, I can tell that it is much easier to disguise on your head as it blends very well with your own hair.The only thing I will say is that along the very edges, the strip of hair is not secured to the comb as well as it could be, but I may fix that myself.All in all, I am very happy with effect this has given.It's just a matter of getting it into the right place on your head before you flip your own hair over the top.With a few practice tries, it's easy to use.EDITED 4/9/23 - I have discovered that bending the comb into more of a severe arc really helps it stay flatter on the skull. I was having problems with it bouncing up a little too high (the comb would not lay properly and had a gap beneath it which made the finished bump an odd shape and the comb became visible through the bump). By squeezing the plastic comb into more of a curve, it lays MUCH better, is easier to insert and feels much more secure in the hair.I was afraid I was going to break it by doing this but it didn't snap at all, and is now a far better shape for me, sitting perfectly against my scalp. If you are having problems using this comb, try bending it a little!

The colour match is perfect but unfortunately it just doesn’t sit in well with my hair, regardless how many attempts & styles I’ve tried, it doesn’t stay put.
