Within a few minutes of opening the box (that’s another story I will save to my last paragraph) you will realize these lights are a major step up from the lights seasonally sold in the aisles of the big box stores.Rather than plastic lens that fade and crack after a year or two from the sun the lens housing of these are heavy high quality glass. I guess someone could make the case about the potential for breaking glass, but it is easy to also appreciate that for many years one will be able to keep these glass lenses like new.The bulb is also a major improvement as are the standoff tubes and spikes provided.On the first overnight run (now in November) they stayed lit until about the last hour even though they were not fully charged from a full day in the sun. So impressive efficiency.I will likely order more for other areas.Regarding the box . . .they are well packaged, but oddly mine was delivered essentially “open box” with the tabs popped open (no seal of any kind). Fortunately there wasn’t anything missing.Quick update: so pleased with these about a week later I purchased yet another set of 8. All 8 were perfect/working great, but this box was open as well.

This is a tough one to review. I've bought Beau Jardin lights before, and while they are kind of expensive, they have always been super high quality. This package was an exception. It arrived with no external shipping container, just the store display packaging. It had obviously been opened, and the contents were a bit scrambled up, but everything was there. All of the lights function, but one has the bottom plate that holds the battery and LED broken away from the top, which holds the solar cell. I have it installed with the top just resting on the lower plate, knowing that it is just a matter of time before it gets knocked off and broken. I'm very disappointed in what I have always considered a fine product.

These lights are very inexpensive, easy to assemble, and even come with rechargeable batteries. The solar charger keeps them charged and they go on at dark and off at light. Could not believe that they would be this good for only about $8 each!You just push or pound the solid plastic rod into the ground and place the fixture onto that. Now, my gardens have soft soils so that did help.I though the set of 8 would need to be added to but that is not the case.

It's the end of October where the days are shorter...I installed these on a cloudy day about 5pm. I took this photo at midnight through a house window because it was raining. I couldn't believe how bright they were under the conditions. They were easy to install...I drove the ground stake in with a hammer, removed the protective film from solar panel, twisted the globe off, switched ON, twisted globe back into place & slid over surface stake, then just slid it over the ground stake. Simple! Bright! Makes a great pattern on the ground & reaches out further than you'd expect.

I am so pleased with these pathway lights. They are attractive and give a lot of light, adding safety for walking along the path at night as well as added security since our street is very dark with few street lamps.
