Holes still a little bigger than I wanted, but helps slow down a quidder so she wastes less
The hay net is exactly as described. I hadn't tried a slow feed net so I started with this one to address a mare that quids (chews on hay then spits it out). She was wasting a lot of hay so I wanted to slow down her access to the hay to encourage her to eat/swallow and have less end up falling on the ground of her paddock that she wouldn't eat. This net worked GREAT for the first few days, but then she learned how to pull hay out of the holes more quickly. It was still a vast improvement, but I decided to try an "ultra slow feed" hay net, with even smaller holes. That one is more effective at slowing her down, but the one I got is not wide enough to stuff with a full flake of hay unless you break it up into chunks. That brings me to my favorite thing about this hay net - I can "line" a muck bucket with the net, drop in a flake or two, and cinch up the top - so loading it is very fast now that it is "broken in." When I first got it, it wanted to stay narrow, but after a few uses it became very easy to use. Now I just want to find one with these dimensions but with smaller holes. In the meantime, happy to use this one.

Works great for goats!!
My goats are so wasteful with hay. This makes it super easy to feed and hardly any waste!

Sturdy, Economic, and Practical - For Horses
I use for mini goats. Mesh grid could be smaller for my animals. Too much hay is pulled through so NOT slow feed. Obviously made for horses or larger livestock. Wonderful if there was an option for 3" x 3" grid squares. Strong materials. No UV protection. Within weeks, the sun faded the netting color. Makes me wonder if the netting will start to break down now? When I'm not using, I store them inside the barn.Side note: Netting rope that closes the mouth is a generous length. This is a nice amount to be able to loop over a support and tie to suspend the bag.

Easier to fill
I bought 2 different brands of hay nets at the same time. Had them both for about 2 months now and I prefer this net over the other brand. It's easier to fill because the string is white instead of being the same color as the bag.

My favorite slower feeding hay net yet!
Quality slow feed hay net that has a white top string! No more searching around for the top string to hang it.

Works great so far
This works great I have goats so I may need to look for one with a tighter weave since there is a bit more waste than I expected.
