Good first starter set
Purchased as Christmas gift for 8-year-old grandson as a starter game kit to learn the rules of the basics. Plastic pieces and solid wooden board.

DONT BUY!!!!!!!!
EDIT: I bought a second board and it was damaged too! Same exact way! I uploaded 3 more pictures of the second board. I reached out to the company, nothing! I'm returning them both. Buy a different board that is the same price or more expensive! Either way DONT BUY THIS ONE!Very disappointed, I bought this for my fiancé's birthday and the board came chipped in two places. The first chip isn't so bad but the second one is huge. It's obvious it was packaged and shipped this way because the shrink wrap that is still on it is not damaged and there are no chipped pieces of wood in the package (you can see this in the photo). This otherwise looks like a good board, nice size and the pieces look nice but the quality control is very poor.
