Alpha Medical Back Brace with Ventilated Elastic/Lumbosacral Support/Abdomen Support - Cool Elastic Material. L0625 (XXX-Large Black)

I had one already and ordered a second but,mistakingly ordered the larger size. Amazon credited me but the print label does not pay for postage. Be careful on which size you select b/c there isn't a lot of flexible room for being "off" on the size. One big flaw in this is that there are extra belts to "cinch" it up tighter but you can't pull them past the primary point where you secure it because there is no velcro past the main connection. It gives you more material and a sense of more support but it does NOT tighten it up very much. I would give it 5 stars if not for those rather useless and cumbersome pull over straps. It's like strapping on an octopus. Now I have to return this at my own expense.

I'm 69 years old and have been fat all my life. I've had lower back pain and weakness for several years and my doctor says it's only because I'm carrying an extra 75lbs on my belly which pulls me forward off the natural alignment of my body. He says there is nothing that can be done and I have to live with it. This year it has become worse. Mowing the lawn has been an agonizing experience and I've done little other activity. Shopping in stores and walking anywhere has been almost absent from my life. I purchased a new mattress this last week in hopes that will help. It hasn't been delivered yet so the benefit of the $1400 expenditure is out for now. I found this back brace online at Amazon.com which is large enough...XXXL...to fit me. I'd been convinced I'd never find one big enough! It was delivered a couple of hours ago. I put it on and it's like getting out of jail! It's marvelous! My back isn't weak and doesn't hurt. For now, anyway, I'm sold! Can't wait until tomorrow, in the cool of early morning, to go out to mow the lawn. With the weakness gone I'm sure it will be a pleasure again. I've always loved yard work! By the way, it's August here in Idaho and HOT, HOT, HOT...nearly 100 degrees every day. I have a sweating problem and was concerned about the belt being too hot. I've had it on for two hours and there is no problem yet. I'll see when I get more active mowing the lawn tomorrow! If you're built like me and have a weak/sore lower back, check this out. I don't think you'll be sorry!9/3/13 I've been wearing this for several weeks and am still sold. My legs are still weak when I mow the lawn but my lower back is supported and braced so I feel secure. I bought a second one just to have if the first one is dirty and needs laundering. My new bed helps too even though I'd been skeptical about the expense of changing. A recent MRI shows me to have several bad discs which will need treatment. This brace and the new bed surely help!5/14/14 I'm doing much better this year. I have little pain presently and can walk better. When I mow the lawn I put this brace on and go, go, go! I'm still sold on it! I'll be 70 the day after tomorrow...the beginning of OLD!!! HO..HUM!!!!!!!

I read these reviews and thought great maybe this will fit. Well it fits. That's about it. This stupid thing has three straps to it. I don't understand there re 3 straps. It's a complicated belt. I hate it. I will try to find something else. Also Don't buy this thing if you want to wear it under your clothes it's scratchy against the skin.

Works nicely. According to size I should have ordered a 2X but ordered a 3X. It would not have fit with a 2X. The Velcro doesn't go to the end.... it stops almost 3 inches short of the end so there is this annoying flap. I an going to have to go to WalMart & buy some Velcro to install so I don't have this annoying flap that catches on stuff as I am trying to pack for moving & keeps coming off. I tried duct taping the flap down, but that doesn't work. If I wore it under my clothes that would solve the problem but I don't like the feel of it on my bare skin.

...for my 12 year old one my doctor prescribed. But that one I lost the "molded to my back" insert 6 years ago. So I bought this one and my back never felt so good. It has permanent stiff but bendable ribs in the back so it kind a molds itself to my back. It also has a "pre" velcro strap about 4 " wide that you fasten around first. It is attached to the large belt that is also very secure. It easily gives me one or two extra hours of reduced back pain. as without it I get about 3 or 4 hours out of my back a day. Thanks!

This one is very light weight and it is larger than you would expect it to be I wear a 3X and I would say it was definitely a 4X maybe even of 5. The boning is very weak and rolls easy and brace does not have enough support throughout the whole thing it's very lightweight and flimsy

I ordered this brace because I like to walk and do strength exercises but sometimes my lower back and hips really gets sore. My husband suggested that I get a brace for better support especially when lifting weights. So I bought this on his suggestion. It really works! I am able to move and exercise for longer periods and I also noticed that I am not as sore after exercise as I was before because of the extra support from this brace. The really cool thing about this brace is that it is so adjustable. When at home, you can wear it on top of your clothing. But when exercising outside, you can wear it very well under your clothing...and it does not show.. There are several different sizes for you to choose, but I got the large size so that I can adjust it over clothing (including winter clothing) too. I highly recommend this brace for support of back and hips during exercise.

Brace does what it is suppose to do ,make sure you order the proper size which seem to be accurate. One problem in my case is if you have a large belly it can cause stomach discomfort ,so use your own judgment when ordering. !

It's good and fits well. And not glaringly white like my last one...this blends into my dress pants so i can hide it. It does however ride up a bit. Perhaps a shorter version would be good too.UPDATE!!! THE VELCRO TAB HAS RIPPED OFF THE STRETCH PANEL AFTER ONLY SHORT TIME!!!! NOT IMPRESSED AS I THOUGHT THIS PRODUCT HAD GREAT PROMISE.... NOW I HAVE TO SEE IF I CAN GLUE IT OR FIND A PLACE TO SEW IT ON IN MORE STRONG FASHION!!!

Total waste of money. Buy something you can see or where you can get a refund. Too short top to bottom and doesn't feel supportive at all

The brace works well, material it is made from is rough and scratchy so you cannot wear under clothing.

I enjoyed the old songs.
