Do not buy this product, it doesn’t work as expected.
Looks good with my iMac but not sure I need another card reader slot. Also does not work with the Apple dvd reader - no usb power.Update: tried plugging my iPhone into the USB ports on this to synchronise iTunes but it could not connect. I would advise against buying this device.

Doesn't work on a 2019 iMac
2019 iMac refuses to work with this. When you plug anything into one of the USB slots the iMac returns a message saying "USB Accessories Disabled: unplug the accessory using too much power to re-enable USB devices.

Poor quality
In theory it is a good piece of kit. But the rubber around the MacBook connection point disintegrated really fast and exposed the cable threads, rendering it useless.
