When you need to test the effectiveness of Cell Phone shielding in the near field and direct contact with the phone, this kit is for you. It comes with our 6 GHZ RF Meter and a specialized Near Field Probe. Meter Details: Very sensitive (down to 25mV/m = 1.6 µW/m² = 0.16 nW/cm²) and goes as high as 14.8 V/m (= 580 mW/m² = 58 µW/cm²). Broad frequency range too: 700 MHz to 6 GHz digital or analog signals with whip antenna supplied. ±3.5dBm accuracy. SMA connection. Requires one 9V battery. CE. Model ED85EXS. Probe Details: Useful from 800 MHz to 2.4 GHz. Great for checking cell phones, Wi-Fi, DECT, Blue Tooth and more. Also useful for checking the near field shielding effectiveness of your shielding items (such as cell phone shields). Only 8 cm long. How to Test Cell Phone Shielding Products: To check RF radio wave emission strength, attach the near field antenna and position the antenna loop on the phone (because the entire antenna stem has some sensitivity, it is best to position the entire antenna over the area that will be shielded). Note carefully where the loop is positioned. Make a call and watch the readings. Note the highest and lowest readings, and of the "average" reading. Now, insert the RF shielding material in between the antenna and the phone, or place the phone inside the material you are testing. Position the meter and antenna the exact same way as before and repeat the call process taking note of the differences in the readings.
