Q: Will this work with the Interact N64 superpad?

Probably not, but it should be compatible with second party controllers as well, controllers made by Hori, ASCII, Hudson and the like since they used the stock joystick modules. Not third party trash from Interact.

Q: I cant get in installed the end peice wont fit.

It’s finicky, I had to use tweezers.

Q: Is this the newer version?

No, it’s not too sensitive so hard to make slow movements in games like 007 and Mario 64

Q: Does installation require soldering, or does it plug into the board?

It plugs right in. Very easy to install, but only works for offical nintendo controllers. 3rd party/modern remakes dont have the same connector.
