Stand with your phone in left hand or right hand and switch on the app, make sure you lightly put one foot on the scales and you will start to see it pair with each other , hope that helps

It only will register the weight of whoever stands on the scales and has the open open close by. Highly recommended. Theres three of us using ours and no problems.
