Great value
I have an electronic rain gauge that is powered by two AA batteries. The location of the outdoor transmitter is not convenient when the batteries need to be replaced. I decided to solar power it and use rechargeable batteries. The solar panel did not come with a controller needed to prevent overcharging and back-feed to the panel. This device will do that. It's easy to install and is effective. It's good that there are more than one in this pack. I fried the first one with a poorly placed soldering iron.

excellent addition to small projects.
these are the perfect answer to extending battery life in smaller projects affordably.

TP4056 Chip
Great charging board. Nice bright indicator lights. Only needed the TP4056 IC to replace a broken one on a headlamp. These are TP4056E vs the TP4056C I was replacing, but it made no difference and worked well even with 2 burned traces. Quality pcb mask, withstood open flame blow torch to backside to remove IC without damage.

Works well but no mounting holes
I like the ability to have a battery connected and wired for power and charging at the same time. Other USB lithium chargers I have bought were for external charging and could not be kept in circuit. This one allows for charging internal to the project. My only gripe with this is that it does not have mounting holes and securing it with just hot glue is not adequate for the long term considering the need to insert the USB charging cable frequently.I have a suggestion for vendors of all of these types of charging boards and that is to make the charge rate resistor thru-hole instead of surface mount. The default 1A charge rate is much too high for a lot of small battery projects and greatly exceeds the charge rate spec on many of the batteries I use. Finding and replacing the surface mount resistor is more difficult for me than a thru-hole would be.
