Gunsmithing. Must have!
So right off the bat, they feel very solid. They come in a little plastic sleeve that holds each of the picks individually. I was installing springs in my pistols and these came in very handy for removing and installing those springs. If you're an amateur gunsmith, you will need some of these at some point. Very happy with my purchase.

Very fine pics
Can’t say how durable they’ll be but plenty of shapes to get into tight spots. Seem sturdy and well made so far.

It's nice to have the right tool at the right time
These are a great addition to your firearms cleaning supplies. I have broken the plastic picks - no worry with these. They are easy to hold and there is a shape for pretty much every crevice to be scraped. They remind me of a Dremel tool - you might not need steel picks for every job, but when you do need them they are the perfect tool. They are quite strong, and I suspect you could scratch a finish if you used too much pressure. And they are sharp - very - even after months of use. Recommended!

Haven't broke yet
Great general purpose picks. Good weight, sturdy, good angles. Not sure what else you could want for the price.

Best Picks For Cleaning Your Firearms
Since I could not locate my other set of pics, I decided to order a new set.My criteria this time around was to find ones made of stainless steel with smaller tips and handles (previous set were purchased from Lowes).Upon arrival, I found this set nicely packed together in a vinyl case with orange plastic tip covers. With the smaller overall diameter, I found that these work perfectly for reaching into tight spaces (gas blocks, muzzle brakes, bolt carriers etc.) and the tips are sharp and hard enough to easily remove any caked on carbon (including from a 22 suppressor mono core baffle). The tips are also small enough that they can be used to help pry loose tight fitting parts (or that shell case in a chamber that an extractor can not grip).Going to be keeping these in my range bag since they can come in handy at the range or in the field.

Professional Grade - Quality Price
As soon as you hold one of these picks in your hand you are assured of the quality by the heft of the weight. These are tools not toys.Almost exactly 6-1/2" long and the nicely knurled handles are about 3/16" in diameter. The tips are dangerously sharp, be careful. With a little practice you can stick them in the drywall across the room. They come in a nice clear vinyl case however the top of the case does not fold down over the picks to protect them, or you, from accidental sticks.I may come up with another means of storing them in my cleaning box.

Love these tools for cleaning your guns.
I have a couple of guns and i need to clean them so i decided to buy these. I mainly target shoot and do some training and my guns always pick up dirt residue especially in some of the windy desert type places i go for shooting and training. This pack includes four separate double-ended tools, offer eight distinctly different picks useful for scraping dirt and residue from hard to reach places. They are made of durable stainless steel. I've used other brands before but i'm really happy with Tipton and will be a repeat customer especially as i get into hunting and shooting more. Very happy and satisfied customer

Handy Little Picks
I use these for cleaning my Beretta 92FS Inox, they are helpful in getting into tight little spaces within the slide and stock. However it is metal on metal so you have to be careful not to scratch as these will. They are very sturdy and very sharp picks, I like to put a couple of cotton patches down and use the pick over them to prevent scratching. I use these for cleaning my pistol however I imagine you can use these for a lot of other small precision jobs.

Solid Buy for Metal Picks
I went with metal picks because I find they offer more versatility than the plastic versions. They have a nice weight and a solid grip which is great for fine, controlled movements. It's easier to catch and drag out greasy grit from in between tightly spaced machine/tool parts due to the fine, sharp points and different end shapes. There is the risk of scratching parts with steel picks, but this hardness and sharpness is also useful for gently scraping away stubborn buildup/residue. Yes, you have to be more careful, but you can also be more thorough. The Tipton Wheeler SS picks are just what I wanted and were reasonably priced.

I really like these Tipton tools
I really like these Tipton tools . Exellent quality. I i have hard plastic picks as well, but I find they don't get into certain places and the tips bend. These steel ones are better ,as they don't bend and with 8 different types of tips on the steel Tipton picks you can get into every spot so your weapons are clean.*Warning*...These tips are sharp and can damage softer metals and plastic. So use caution when inside the barrel and chamber.Delivery was fast.item came undamaged. An excellent tool to add to your cleaning kit.Next up is a Tipton cleaning rod

Well made and comfortable to hold
I keep these in my range toolkit in case I have a FTF or FTE. Sometimes the polymer picks are too soft and bend and I can't get the brass out of the chamber. These are much firmer and get the job done with no problem. I'm very cautious when I use these for cleaning as I'm afraid they will scratch the finish as they are very sharp and firm. However, the few times I have used them they were great. Just go slow and be careful not to dig the tips into the metal or polymer parts and you should be fine.
