Magnefine Inline Magnetic Automatic Transmission Filter 3/8"

I don’t think I will ever work on a power steering system without adding one of these to it at my shop. Very nice and I can’t believe I have never seen one used before now.

Not a very easy install. Plan accordingly. You need needle nose pliers, razor blade, flat head screwdriver and a 1' length of replacement high temp hose for an fbody

Works great

Installed on my van and was very easy to install. I used it for my power steering pump and it stopped the grinding noice it was making when the steering wheel was turned. This van was not equipped with a filter. I saw a video on YouTube is where I saw it done. I installed it on the low pressure fluid line where the fluid returns to the reservoir.

Works as expected BUT the filter developed a small leak where the hose fittings comes out of the housing. This took 6 years, I bought another to replace it. I think it failed due to excessive movement of the hose where it’s installed. Easy fix for this time
