I purchased these lights to mount of the back of the house in an area that the porch light won't reach! I like to sit out back at night, and BBQ, and look at the stars, and sit by the fire pit! These lights will allow me to light up the area when I want light. With the remote, I can turn the lights on, and have them stay on when I need to see what I'm doing, and then turn them off to enjoy the stars!!! Then I can set them to turn on if an intruder enters the area. Since I live in the middle of nowhere, about the only intruders I see are rabbits, deer, and an occasional possum.... I read almost every review before I purchased these lights, and looked at all of the pictures! Ok, I saw about six reviews with pictures that showed that water had gotten into some of the light heads, and caused them to malfunction... I think I have solved this problem!!! I inspected the lights upon arrival and they looked well made, but I noticed that there were rough edges on the clear plastic covers for each head. If you have ever built a model car, or other plastic model, you will have to separate the parts from what they call a tree, and then put them together! Ok, with that said, I went to ACE hardware and purchased a tube of indoor/outdoor clear silicone caulking, and tediously ran a small bead all along the edges of the light heads, and around the motion sensor. I will do the solar panel next, just in case! If you do this before you install them, I believe that you will not have to worry about water getting into the lights!!! I am letting the silicone cure for 24 hours before I install them. I let them charge up for 2 days before I tested them, and they worked just like advertised!!! I think that these lights will provide years of service, and I can't wait to start using them... I like to take my dog out late at night, and it will be nice to have the automatic light so we can see the area!!! Hey, it might be a little more work than you want to do by using Silicone to seal the edges, but in the long run it will be worth it, and you won't waste your hard earned money on something that might develop problems later!!! I hope that this helps you in your decision to purchase these lights!!! They are very bright, and will serve my purpose well!!! You know, now days products are made cheaper, and sometimes you don't know how well something will work, or for how long!!! If you do what I did, I can almost assure you that you will have no problems with these lights, and you will get years of use from them without problems!!! Good Luck!!!

Bon produit, facile à installer! Seul petit bémol: le panneau solaire est accroché après la lampe. Donc, on est moins flexible pour bouger le panneau solaire pour charger la lampe.

I bought this solar light couple of weeks ago, functionally it is good and working, duration of light is also good. But I was looking for real bright light and looking at 3000LM and other reviews I was thinking given it is solar, it will at least be touching 1500LM which is not the case. The brightness is just ok. The other things which I didn't like is the design and fitting of solar panel does not adjust the direction solar panel, it is always facing straight up in the sky.

The light is super bright the first time after charging. Unfortunately the lamp never seems to obtain the full level of brightness again.

Before starting I want to say thia is being used in a 20x20 area by my garage where I park my car. I have been putting off adding a light above a side door in my garage for a long time because I didnt want to hardwire and I didnt want battery powered. I sprung for this one because it was solar powered and super easy to install. It has a small bracket with three screw holes and 3 screws and anchors included. Once I mounted the base, the light slides right onto the base.So the important thing it needed to do was to light the area where I park because sometimea there are skunks and other animals I cant see if its dark. Mostly however since I work at home and check oil on my "classic" car sometimes and if its dark, I dont need a flashlight. The light sections are adjustable for tilt and side to side angles.So there are 3 modes. Sensor which turns light on when motion detected, dim mode which seems to keep dim light on all the time. And dim sensor mode which is a dime version of regular sensor mode.I keep on mode 1 sensor for myself and it lights up my area fine. It does have a handy remote with battery included to change modes and dimness settings (5 altogether). I use 100% as this works best for me.It has auto off in daytime so it doesnt use up power while charging. Seems to work as expected.As far as sensor sensitivity it turns on when I step out of my house and head on it turns on immediately. Coming at it from the sides against the garage it doesnt react until i come up close to it but I never walk against the garage anyways. It emits a white LED light..speaking of which there are tons of small LEDs .For the price and for ease of install Im very happy. I have not been able to test weather resistance yet, but will update at some point.
