Made from a single piece of leather, no splicing of sections. The buckle is designed to open on the leather side (like jaws) to hold the leather. The end of the belt can be shortened and placed back in the jaws and the jaws closed. This is a very good quality leather belt. I honestly think it is real leather. It is a little bit stiff but I think it will last unlike fake "plether" belts I have purchased.. Love the two tone reversible belt. The price went up right after I bought it. I plan to order another one when they lower the price again.
