Great little toy to play with also in the car on journeys

This arrives in a brightly coloured box measuring approx 23cm x just over 15cm x 13.5cm with a 5cm upstand at the back of the box which could be folded down to wrap.With the upstand folded it would be easy to wrap & make a great gift for a Polly fan who loves space princesses.Inside the box, the playset is open showing you one half of the orb with the 3 included characters (Polly, a blue skinned Polly & a small green alien).When out of the box this can be closed into a flat bottomed orb shape & carried like a small handbag using the attached cord.You can also open it up & fold it out to create 2 small play areas.On one side you have your alien landscape with a small rocket ride which travels round a track. He has a small seat in the lid with a fold up spaceship shaped cover.On the other you have a princess castle complete with removable throne.As usual there are pegs all over the place so you can attach shooting stars to the sky or stand the figures on one spot & so on.My favourite bits are the rocking chair that is shaped like a moon & the rainbow bridge slide that folds out to connect the two 'realms' so you can peg a character (or the unicorn) onto the bridge & slide them across.So much play value is built into these little sets - every surface is full of moulded details to enhance play & the small bits are interchangeable with any other Polly Pockets you might have around.This also looks really nice just sat on the shelf as an ornament when not being played with & as all the bits will fit inside it when closed, it's highly portable so a great toy to take on longer journeys.

Well, this definitely brought back memories for me as I had a Polly Pocket toy when I was younger so I was hoping my daughter would enjoy playing with this set. This Polly Pocket set is the Play Space Compact and it comes with 2 Micro Dolls, 15 Accessories and 1 Fashion Piece.The set itself opens up flat with two sides which I thought gave you that little bit more room to play. Let’s be honest Polly Pocket toys are on the small side. I also thought this helped to make the set even more interesting. There are 15 accessories which is pretty good. Some of the things included are chairs, a unicorn and a telescope. You push the characters and accessories into the play set (each item has a hole on the bottom to secure it into a peg on the base)My daughter’s favourite feature was the rainbow bridge. The characters could slide across from one side of the play set to the other. The castle and spaceship also had a pull down section which was a great addition. She was so happy the first time she sat down with it and has since played with it multiple times.Overall the play set is lots of fun, with enough characters and accessories within the set to entertain. The fact it folds up neatly is really handy and makes it pretty compact to store away. There is a strap that means it can be carried on her shoulder too. I did find one downside to the toy. My daughter couldn’t close the compartments with the pieces still in. To be honest I had trouble, it was a bit like a puzzle trying to fit them in each compartment to get it to close. I managed it but it took way too long so in the end I pulled out both the figures and accessories and placed them in a little bag. Just so it would make things easier for her when playing.

Like Polly Pockets?This is the Mattel Polly Pocket Double Play Space Compact, 18 Pieces, Ages 4+.If your daughter like mine loves Polly Pocket then this set is for you, you get 2 x Dolls, 1 x large fold out compact and 15 x accessories including alien, unicorn, telescope etc. The unicorn when placed on its rainbow bridge slides over, Polly can ride the rocket round and round and the alien goes into his spaceship that opens up! There is lots and lots of imaginary play here that will last hours and hours. The bonus is that it all folds away into its own compact that can be carried anywhere, so ideal for holidays.It looks like they are relaunching and reimaging the product, and oh boy they have done well. Instead of being rubbery, Polly has hardened and now can move her limbs. That's a big bonus.Overall for the price you get a lot of stuff, and the improvements are really good. So the next generation of Polly looks promising! Overall I'd thoroughly recommend this Polly Pocket set if you are looking for a good solid travel toy.

We quite like the idea of this double play space compact and the design is quite different from the other polly pocket set we have. This set the case can be opened up to form two side, as a connecting with the alien planet/spaceship.There are many tiny accessories in the set so a little zip lock bags will be essential to keep all the tiny pieces together, and to reduce the chance of losing them or being sucked into the hoover.This toy is more suitable for children around 6 to 8 years old. My older one lost interested in it already but my younger one still plays with it. They do little role plays with her friends when they come over for playdates.There are some moving parts which add to the fun. Overall, it's a good polly pocket set and my little one likes it.
