Fitment and power for replacement is great.

I have a couple of APC UPS Battery Backup and Surge Protector, 600VA Backup Battery Power Supply, BE600M1 Back-UPs. You have to manually open up the unit to replace the battery, because it is not designed for battery replacement. These replacement batteries work in them and will give your UPS 2-3 years of extra life than having to buy another unit at 3-4 times the price. It is worth the effort.

I am only giving this a 4 rating, as the connectors on the battery are smaller than the original. This allowed one of the wires to disconnect after I put everything back together. Let it charge overnight and turned it on to "screaming" from the UPS. This means the battery isn't working. After taking everything apart again, found the wire had slipped off the connector. Git it on as tight as possible and put everything back together. Again, charged overnight and turned it on. Since it's working (quiet UPS), assume nothing came loose this time.

It seems very odd to me that in today's World, where we are supposed to recycle everything, how a company can produce a throwaway UPS battery backup product, but here we are! This replacement battery is so easy to replace, I just can't figure out why APC doesn't promote it and provide a replacement. Just take out the four screws , pull the case apart, and pull off the terminal plugs, replace the battery and reverse the procedure. S I M P L E !

Working perfectly so far. Needed to use the supplied connector add on. Take note how the old battery was placed. Didn’t notice it was originally upside down and kept trying right side up and the lid wouldn’t close. Finally put it upside down and everything closed properly.

The manual says must have repair center replace battery. I removed 4 screws and this battery fit perfectly.
