I have a 15 year old cattle dog. She’s a Catahoula Leopard and she weights 52 pounds. I got her a large. NOTE: This vest comes in two styles: VELCRO or CLIPS… for the same price 139.00. So be sure and pick which one suits you best. I love the Velcro cuz it’s secure and the vest doesn’t move around. Very similar to her life vest for our boat. The REASON why I purchased this vest is because I have a 2 year old boxer mix very energetic and my 15 year old couldn’t keep up and I didn’t want her getting too fatigued. So we adopted another boxer mix 18 mos and the two boxers are having a ball. However, when my 15 year old tried to set a boundary with the young rescue.. the rescue thought she was trying to threaten and the rescue attacked my 15 year old. She’s a sweet sweet rescue but I think maybe she’s gotten attacked before, and didn’t understand. She felt so bad when it was over. I got this vest for my 15 year old while we are transitioning and they form a bond and boundaries. This will keep the rescue from hurting her if that ever happened again. ALSO I get nervous when we walk in public… too many dang loose dogs! This vest will fit any of the 3 so we will see how we like it. We may buy more if we want to relax out in public. Good buy.. totally worth the purchase.. it’s secure, made well, and great fit. Not too heavy for my old girl! If you have anxiety… just get it, any amount of money is worth it for a peace of mind.

I live in an area largely populated by both coyotes and hawks. I first purchased the coyotevest spike vest, the difference being the spike vest has Velcro closure instead of buckles.My 8lb Pomeranian mix is oddly shaped, went with the xs- fit great except the neck is a bit high which bothered her. Ultimately the Velcro freaked her out (I think her fur got caught), after this she refused to wear it again. I reached out to coyotevest and they immediately issued a refund.I then purchased the coyote vest with buckles (xs), I ended up returning this one too as I believe her initial experience with the first one set the tone for any future Coyote vests for her but I must say the customer service that I received was by the the best I’ve ever received from an Amazon seller.We went back and forth via email trying to figure out ways to make her comfortable with the vest. They gave me tips, were so kind and understanding and Pamela even called me but I missed the call, this is a company that has your pets best interest at heart.The product itself is top quality, the Velcro was exceptional quality and it fit her so perfectly snug, I wish she wasn’t freaked out by it. The buckle vest is equally beautifully crafted. It’s surprisingly light weight, which I expected because the spikes are plastic but I thought it would still have some weight but amazingly not. The inside is lined to be soft and comfortable, the neck is stiff but as stated “like a good pair of boots needs broken in” I was just never able to get her to break it in.Overall I truly believe anyone with a small dog especially but in areas with predators whether coyote/ hawks/eagles etc… I think everyone should own one. Keep in mind it will also protect against aggressive dogs, it’s literally for everyone. You can’t put a price on peace of mind, I’m saddened that my stubborn little girl refused it.Luckily she has very limited outdoor time due to severe allergies and I work from home so she’s never alone and we have vigorous playtime throughout the day for exercise but the vest would’ve made me feel better when we’re in the yard. I will continue standing beside her acting as her personal body guard.The last thing I’ll add about this product is that aesthetically; it’s punk asf, if it fit me I totally would’ve rocked it.Thank you Pamela and coyotevest team! ❤️

I love in rural Alaska and our little Yorkie loves to be outside with our bigger two dogs. Only problem is all the wildlife that would love to grab her.This vest is a great solution. Well made, fits perfectly and gives the protection she needs to avoid being grabbed by wildlife. By no means does this mean she goes outside unsupervised; instead it gives us a bit of piece of mind while we are all outside enjoying the day to not have to worry about a coyote swiftly running in and trying to take off with our little girl.

After my neighbor’s small dog was almost killed by a coyote I decided I needed to better protect my chihuahuas. These vests are very well made, easy to put on the dog, make them look like rock & rollers & have given me peace of mind. I don’t know if a coyote could bite through the vest but I know for certain that it would give me time to be able to save the dog. I live close to a 4500 acre park & coyotes are a daily occurrence. My dogs weigh 5.5 lbs & are wearing size xx small. Highly recommend!

The product is good but neither Amazon or anyone else will help with a return. The return process was sloppy and lasted over a month.

After reading reviews, I was still impressed with the quality of this product. We live in the country, so our dog does need some protection from wild animals and even other dogs. Luckily, our dog was used to the sound of Velcro. This is the heaviest Velcro for putting on and off your pet. I would get them used to that sound before trying it on or it might scare them.My dog is 19 pounds and I got a medium. It fits very well. The spikes have to be separated in two rows and then we ordered the whiskers additionally. I think it helps them look a little scarier. The idea is to give you time to help your dog or even allow them to fight back and get away.

The media could not be loaded.  The material feels rugged, but overall it's extremely lightweight. The neck feels rigid and much thicker, which I like.If fits my dog well and she seems comfortable in it. I put in on just to let her get used to it, and she fell asleep wearing it.Walking your dog in the Coyote vest is going to draw people attention; lots! Be prepared...I was originally surprised by the price, but it's not a costume, it really is a performance harness designed for the specific application of safety w/ the bonus of super dope styling!

Love the design of this vest. Our dog is only 3 pounds so we had to add extra strips of velcro to get the vest to fit tight enough. Now, if only we could get the dog to move when she is wearing the vest! LOL

This vest is fantastic. I’ve been worried sick about my chihuahua and this is just what she needed for this summer. We are crawling with coyotes and we also have a large amount of hawks (I bought the matching Kevlar Hawk Shield for that). It fits her like a glove. She is 5 lbs. and I bought her the XS jacket.

This vest has given us peace of mind knowing our little Yorkie is protected from Coyotes and other predators!

We are moving to the country & I couldn't be happier with these vests. My babies are NOT hawk/coyote dinner.I had a friend whose small dog was eaten by a coyote. So awful. The peace of mind these will give me is priceless.Good quality. Easy to put on. Adorable as heck.
