Nice display & easy to use
Bought this for an elder. Easy to see the illuminated display that shows the current radio channel and time when unit is off. It has a large volume control on the top and power button on the front. It has decent sound for the price and it has a soft wiring type antenna which you can move around and it picks up a number of FM channels. You can set preset channels and then step through them up or down in the broadcast band. It is compact for limited spaces. Overall happy with this unit.

Well, it's a Jensen
Jensen was always that cheap stereo brand at Walmart that worked for people on a budget but sound quality was mediocre. But you got what you paid for. I read the reviews here which persuaded me to take a chance on it, that perhaps sound quality and features would be better than what I remembered.Well, it's still a Jensen. If you're expecting a loud stereo, you will be disappointed. My old Sony boom box is louder than this thing and it was one of Sony's more basic boom boxes back in the 90s.I had an Aiwa shelf system with a 3 CD shanger and I think it had 120 watts per channel. That was an impressive shelf system and at $250-$300 in 1995, it had GREAT sound and was a lot cheaper than a Nakamichi or Denon shelf system back then. This thing is tiny and doesn't even compete. It's got like 15 watts per channel I think and is really basic. It works...sort of. It plays CDs, CD-Rs, Bluetooth, etc. But it's not in the same league, not even in the single-A farm team league, as the Aiwa, Nakamichi, or Denon shelf systems. It's more like a 5th grade little league team by comparison. It also has terrible AM reception, so not good for talk radio. This system would be perfect for the waiting room of a doctor/dentist office where you don't want it to get too loud. Or maybe in an apartment building with thin walls. It would not be adequate in a mechanic shop or place where there's any noise, because the shop noise will over power this thing turned up to full blast. The bottom line is that it's a Jensen. It's a mediocre shelf system. You want high quality, you have to pay for high quality.

Gift
Apparently the individual liked it because it wasn’t returned.

CD player does not work
I love the power of the radio and the speakers, but never played a CD until Christmas time and the CD player does not work. I would like to know how the heck I’m supposed to get a new one. Unfortunately, was my own fault for not trying out the CD player but I bought it for the radio and thought the CD was extra except I paid for a CD player and it doesn’t work. I’ve tried five different CDs. None of them will work in the player.

Just Don't Crank It
The antenna is lacking, as it is just a wire. The speakers cannot handle full volume. And the remote is stupid tiny and needs to be close enough that you should just walk to the unit and handle it. I probably would not have bought this thing looking back, but I got tired of trying to find something decent I guess. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money. I tried to go cheap and that's what I got.All that said ... if you are looking for cheap, and mediocre, and possibly event good enough, this just might be your buy! Good luck!
