Perfect!
I don't have much to say, but... got these a bit back to cook with. They're perfect and made some DELICIOUS chili. Plus, there's a TON left over for future meals, too. So I highly recommend these!

Nice quality
I could not buy mulato chilis locally so resorted to online ordering. These mulato chilis were shipped quickly and were of very good quality - still mostly soft and fairly uniform in size, unlike the brittle packaged chilis that I usually find in local stores. I used them to make a time & ingredient intensive dark Oaxacan mole (using mulato, ancho & negro chilis). It was superb! I would purchase again from this seller.

Great Flavor!
I have always used dried chilis when I make chil or mole. But I had never heard of mulato peppers until I got the recipe for mole from a local restaurant. Their mole is the best I've ever eaten. Adding mulato peppers to my recipes gives them a rich, deep chili flavor without adding too much heat.

Excellent quality chiles
I searched fruitlessly multiple stores in our metro area, searching for mulato chiles so I could try out a Rick Bayless recipe. Eventually, I reluctantly ordered these chiles. They are some of the best quality dried chiles I've purchased. They've got that great dried but still pliable feel with a wonderful raisiny smell. They worked great in my mole. Very happy with the purchase.

Perfect for sauces
I live in the north country of New York near Canada, so no access to Latin ingredients near me. They are a little pricy but worth the quality of the product, specially since I can’t get them here other than through Amazon.

Not fresh...
The peppers that I got were not fresh. Dried peppers lose their flavor over time, and the entire point of a pepper like this is to add flavor... so it is THE relevant thing with dried peppers. I have no use for peppers that are this stale.

High quality dried chiles
Great quality. For all the “chilenistas” out there, there’s a wonderful world of different moles to be constructed. Soak in hot water, de-stem and deseed, put in blender and take it from there. I love to braise or crockpot meat with them, especially for shanks or pulled pork or barbacoa!
