Gritty 😫
Didn't like the gritty texture in my coffee, it kept making me cough as it tickled my throat. It's unfortunate that the best yacon syrup was discontinued, all I needed was one teaspoon and tasted great, yes it was thicker and a challenge getting it out of the bottle, but worth it, but just when I had it down to a science, it was not discontinued. So far I have not found any other that I like, I've tried so many, that I have to keep going to my order history so that I don't repeat them. And they're not reasonably priced.

Hard n lumpy upon arrival. Too much so to use it easily.

nice flavor
This worked well in a cheesecake my wife made. She is diabetic, and only eats sweets on special occasions but wants to be able to enjoy them when she does. It tasted good, and it did not raise her blood sugar like regular granulated sugar would have done.

Spendy and not a great substitute
I tried to use this in a muffin recipe and it's a no. A whole no. Maybe if I'd have put double what it called for it would have worked but at this price...

Horrible Experience - Anaphylaxis and Can’t Return
I am extremely allergic to this product as I started wheezing and my throat swelled shut the first time I tried it - had to use my epi-pen. It also did not sweeten my tea, even when using a full tsp. If I had seen that this item was not eligible for a refund, I never would have ordered it as it is very overpriced!

Not overly sweet, and, not "weird" tasting!
I just made some oatmeal for dinner... yes oatmeal! (Eating soft foods right now because of a medical condition.) I cut up some bananas, sprinkled with a little cinnamon, and added just under a tbs of this yacon root powder, just enough to give the oatmeal a little more sweetness. This tasted good, and I wanted more!!! It is not as sweet as sugar, or maple, or agave, and it does not taste weird like some of the other sugar alcohol sweetener products. I was pleasantly surprised. And, it mixed well with the oatmeal that I made. I will look for some other recipes that I can use it in. I am happy with it. A bit pricey, so I won't be using by the cupfuls... I'll just use it sparingly.

Package sent cut
Contents spilled out inside. Nothing wrong with exterior package so this was sent damaged. This item is not allowed to be replaced or refunded so buyer beware if you get a bad shipment. I am disappointed that I could not try this product.

Not sweet enough be a 1:1 sugar replacement, BUT...
The description of this product, that it's used as a sugar substitute, is laughable. Yacon, when powdered, is slightly sweet, but it isn't nearly sweet enough to be used in lieu of sugar. It's unfortunate that this is branded as a sugar substitute, because it's actually wonderful as a FLOUR substitute in sweet baked goods.I swapped out a cup of flour in my muffins for one cup of this, and used half the sugar. The results were just as good as full flour muffins, but with a boost to the iron, fiber and calcium. It is a bit pricey, at $20/pound. However, it's a product to keep in mind if you're an avid baker and the flour/grain shortages that are being predicted actually become reality.

Bad taste, NOT sweet
This item is not eligible for return. Will see if I can use it instead of flour for baking. This is NOT sugar replacement. It also has unusual, somewhat bitter taste. I do not like it and kids would hate it.

Not suitable as a sugar substitute for coffee!
Does not mix well, and completely alters the taste of the beverage. Gritty, lumpy and adds a slimy consistency that is most unpleasant. Might be good for baking, but I found very little sweetness in the product.
