12 Beast Vol. 4

High Sea Adventure
With volume 3 of 12 beast the story is the main focus as opposed to fan service, which is oddly less pronounced. 12 Beast is really starting to become quite different from Okayado's other series Monster Musume, and is now a full fledged shonen. This volume wraps up the merfolk arc with a surprisingly dark ending and then introduces us to Freki a werewolf who probably will be Eita's latest party member. She probably my personal favorite character of the series so far, a good mixture of deadly seriousness and mixed socially awkwardness. I'm interested to see how 12 Beast continues to grow.

Great storyline
I've read all 4 volumes so far and will continue too, mostly for the creative story and characters, it's a unique fantasy world that has been created here.

Seems to be moving towards a more serious plot.
Well our favorite otaku ninja is back. The first part of this book is a little more serious than the others as our hero continues to grow. More information on his magic glove will emerge as he is confronted by his the first real life changing decision. We will finally get a glimpse of the real enemy, who seem to enjoy twisted plots and concealment. Thse book adds a note of tragedy as real consequences emerge from the battle as the writer moves a bit away from comedic harem, there is still some fan-service but it's muted and along established lines necessary to plot situations. Second story moves along to another race where new friends and surprises will emerge. This is not my favourite in the series as it far more serious and the second story doesn't developed much before the book ends, but it is a good edition to the series.

Booker's grade got here on time, did have a few incredibly minor defects, but nothing too bad
