In My Flower (In My Habitat)

These books are adorable, and the finger puppet in the middle is really fascinating to my 6-month-old.

We received two 'In My...' books as gifts, one about a dolphin and one about a fish. My toddler recently became very into butterflies, so my husband ordered this one for her as well. If you aren't sure what this book is, it's basically a 5 page book with a finger puppet built into the center. You can stick your finger in the back of the book while you're reading and squiggle it around, and it looks like the subject is moving. Toddlers can't really figure out how it works, but they like the 'living' organism in their book.Pluses:------------ Very bright, colorful, and cheerful- The butterfly does kind of look like it's flying when you use the finger puppet- Fun for toddlersDownsides:----------- The story is very simple and exactly the same for every singe 'In My...' book. They all enjoy whatever it is they are doing (e.g., flying) 'with their families' at the end, which include what appear to be a mommy and daddy animal (in this case, butterfiles).- Given that there is absolutely no variation in plot, I'd recommend buying no more than one of these books in the animal of your choide.

My son loves these types of books. Only reason this didn’t get 5 stars is because the stitching is off & where you put your finger to move the animal around is too small. The detail on the animal is off too. It’s 50/50, but I wouldn’t purchase again without seeing it first.

Such a simple cute book! My students loved the little butterfly finger puppet!

Another cute story my daughter loves! Again the quality of the puppet isn't as high as the "In My Tree" owl book but it is a great story from beginning to end. I understand that each one has to end "with my family", but I think in the case of the butterfly, friends may seem more appropriate only because butterflies don't get to meet their parents.

My DD and I love to read this book over and over and over again. She enjoys the colorful pictues and the little finger puppet butterfly in the middle. It is a sweet story that gets the imagination going in a fun and creative way. We love the pictures so much that we are painting them on canvas and hanging them up to decorate my DD's room. She loves the fun and colorful paintings based on this book. I have two other books by this same author, one about an owl and one about a bunny. We love those just as much!

This book is perfect for my 10 month old. We received one of the books in this series as a gift, and ended up getting each book that was available. In My Flower is fun because it is very colorful and simple to read. We really love how the last page always enforces family. Our daughter loves the puppet in the book and kisses the butterfly each time that we read the book. I highly recommend this book as it is one of the most read books in our collection. We can't wait for the newest books to come out!

Ich habe das Buch gebraucht erworben, wobei ich mit dem Kauf gebrauchter Bücher bisher immer zufrieden war, da ihr Zustand stets der Beschreibung des Verkäufers entsprachen. Vorliegend war der Artikelzustand als gut angegeben. Als ich das Paket auspackte, musste ich allerdings ernüchtert feststellen, dass das Buch verklebt und dreckig war. Die Seiten waren ausgebleicht und Farbe sowie Pappe lösten sich an einigen stellen ab. Die Schrift ist noch lesbar, aber das erwartete Lesevergnügen stellte sich beim Vorlesen nicht ein. Zumal man sich beim Anfassen (trotz mehrmaligem Reinigen) irgendwie ekelt. Sehr enttäuscht. Werde bei diesem Händler keine Bestellungen mehr tätigen.
