June Tailor Shape Cut Ruler

This cutting tool is a lifesaver. Makes cutting fabric for quilting quick and easy. So happy I ordered this.

Very easy to use....time saver.....and nice straight cuts.

I have had a bigger version of this one in the past - I still do, to be honest. I've just double checked, and it is in fact, by the same company. They are fantastic, to be frank.The quilt patterns I tend to make are by Elizabeth Hartman, and they are absolutely stunning, but require insane quantities of precisely cut pieces. That's difficult regardless, but with any kind of these rulers it's so much easier, and ignoring the effort, it also means that it's possible to have the pattern turn out as intended - the patterns make precision cutting a required skill, and having just one of these rulers/cutting overlays makes that possible.As there are textured areas on the underside of the plastic, it will stay put on top of the cutting mat, making it so much easier to line up and saves an awful lot of time.I'm not monstrously tall (well, really, I'm a short **** 😁) so bending over a surface and trying to cut a straight line against an oversized ruler is far from ideal.The plastic is nice and thick, so it doesn't feel flimsy or delicate. The measurements are accurate, and it saves so much time and frustration. Being able to cut a straight line on a lengthy, lined up piece of fabric saves an insane amount of time, and it also increases motivation to continue on and actually start sewing.My larger one is 24"/18" (I think!), and it's had a good few years of hard work,so there are areas where the gap for blade are uneven and have had mistakes made, but that's entirely expected given how much it has been used.This one is smaller, so I won't have to dig out the larger one so much, the cutting gaps are both there and highly functional, the labelling is easy to understand, and truly, if you're making a quilt that requires a large amount of cutting - both complex and simple - you want this. My latest full on experience was with the older one, and that took cutting 72 different shapes from further shapes from a 3 day to an afternoon project.I've included a couple of the Hartman work, just so you can see what I mean, when it comes to the cutting.

I cut a lot of fabric strips for wrapping rope basket making and this is a huge time saver. It's so easy to use.

I had to talk to seller because it did not show up not really at the sellers fault but the shipping processed lost it and all the new rules with covid going on. But seller re sent it to me and it came fast very happy with product does a great job and works well later on I will buy a bigger one from the same company.
