Although the description of the lamp is inaccurate: it says that the lamp is "rechargeable" with USB cord, but it is not rechargeable. I works on regular AA batteries OR when plugged in with the USB cord. The USB doesn't "recharge" anything, it simply gives it power when plugged in. Having said that, I like the lamp anyway. It works well with the batteries and therefore is very portable--can use it anywhere where you need extra light. Is very handy.

Lamp arrived on promised delivery date and was packaged nicely. I use this lamp for my hobby of detailed ship building and I couldn't be more pleased with its performance. It is bright, flexible and the LED light does not get hot (good for when I am doing close in work and my hands come in contact with the lamp). I've been using it for 2 weeks now (on both battery & USB power) and it has maintained its brightness. Only negative is it does not charge on USB as advertised in product description. This claim should be removed from description.

Needed a desk lamp for a location where I didn't have much space for a large lamp, and more importantly, there was no electrical outlet nearby. Did a lot of searching, decided to give this lamp a try, could not be happier! Base with batteries installed is heavy enough to keep it in place, but yet still light enough to move about easily.The light output at highest level is more than enough for my needs and there are 2 lower levels if needed.Probably best feature is the easy to position "goose neck", both the neck of the lamp and the lamp light itself can be adjusted to fit any possible position and it stays put once you find the perfect position.I have not tried USB power, I like the clean, uncluttered look using batteries only. I buy batteries on sale, so have tons on hand, and the light won't be used all that much.So, there you have it, I really like it!

This lamp is lovely to use. It simply feels right. I bought it to replace my unwieldy bedside lamp. This gives better reading light and can be adjusted to hit the page - bendy, bendy, bendy - and even sat on the bed next to me.I’m now going to get a second one for my husband to move from chair to chair, depending on where he’s sitting to read. Its portability is a real plus.And another great use: The lowest setting lets me see the TV remote. At last!

Absolutely fantastic little lamp. I purchased this as a gift for my 75 year-old mother so she could read her Bible in the mornings at the coffee table or the kitchen table with additional light...she absolutely loves it it's versatile lightweight and the three dimming options are perfect for any time of day... I recommend Amazon rechargeable high capacity AA batteries. I might even purchase her another one just to have around the house.

I got this for my son to study by as he has to study a lot of his college chemistry materials on line. He needed an extra lamp that was bright enough to read his text books that he places on a portable work table while still watching his desk monitor to study the chemistry equations as the professors write them up on screen. There is no need to worry about running a power cord to the light to energize it so he can position his portable table any way he likes. This light is perfect and it will run at the brightest level for 24 hours before starting to fade and needing a recharge. He loves the 3 way charging options too. The color of the light is pleasant as well, not that uncomfortably glaring "bluish" tint of a lot of the newer LED lights.

I have an area on one side of my bed that has no easy access to an outlet. This battery powered light seemed to be a good solution. The light is powerful enough to read by, as long as it's right above my head. It solved my 'no outlet' issue. I wish it was a bit bigger, but overall I am happy with the purchase.

Fully charged, it will still only hold the brightest light for a few minutes before it starts to fade. Only the brightest light level is suitable as a task light, so using it on a lower light level is not really an option. But, for those few minutes, it's a wonderful light!

Worked fine for about two months. I was using it about 2 hours per day in the morning. No access to a plug in so was counting on batteries. 4 AA batteries were lasting about 5-7 days, so 10-14 hours = hard on batteries and $. After a couple of months the light flickered for a few minutes then quit immediately after inserting fresh batteries. Changed out batteries one at a time and tried it each time. While checking it I did notice that the bulbs were lighting up just enough to see on the highest of the three settings. Hooked up the cord and ac adapter and tried that, still no go. Have checked it a few times since it quit but hasn't healed itself. I must assume it is something in the guts of the thing that quit. Throw it away and try something else I guess.

the light itself is alright but the fact my light did not have the charger and cord leaving me to use only batteries is not good. I used the light frequently but without the charger and cord the batteries wear out quickly so I won't be using it much. seller said they would send another replacement but this has never happened almost 2 months later. For this reason alone, I cannot recommend the product. Without the cord and charger it's simply a battery user. Update, the company reshipped the order and the charger makes a big difference. Thanks.

Product didn't work in one of the modes. It was a sleek looking design but did feel a bit flimsy. Returned it, and chose another product.

Worked a few times then just started to flicker. Now completely doesn't work at all.Buying a different one.

I am truly enjoying this table lamp so far. Love the fact that you have the option of battery use in case of power failure. This is a very compact lamp & can fit anywhere, very practical & versatile.
