Long term foods are a necessity!!!!
These long term foods are expensive but they absolutely are worth it. I do wait and try to find them on sale though. My children will never have to worry about starving during any type of disaster /war if I can help it. We keep at least a years worth of food put up for the family and so should you. People like me are not going to feed you when you're starving!!!! Be prepared!!!!

Showed up severely damaged. Bucket is cheaply made. Flour is everywhere.
I live in Alaska. In the woods. This cheaply made garbage showed up severely damaged. Both the packaging and the cheap bucket inside. It’s now up to me to go in to town, buy a box, and ship this crap back. Not happy. Will never buy this cheaply made crap again.

Lid has a bunch of holes - by design. Counterfeit product?
The cheaply made lid came out of the box with two small holes on each side -- eight total -- and flour leaking out everywhere. The holes are designed into the bucket lid, they weren't accidental. The oxygen absorber supposedly inside isn't going to keep this ready for use for 25 years with holes in the bucket!Did I get a counterfeit product? I paid a lot more than flour and a plastic bucket cost because I wanted professionally packed flour set up for long term storage. This is not that.

Excellent product - terribly difficult to open!
I had intended to keep this for long-term storage, but made an error and thought I had flour in my pantry and did not. So I decided to open the bucket. Well, it was easily a half-hour effort. I'm 77 and it took some ingenuity, a lot of patience, and muscle to get it open. I ended up using a screwdriver like a chisel to cut the lip off that then allows you to open the top with one of those handy dandy hard plastic bucket openers. The product itself is EXCELLENT. But make sure you have the tools and muscle to get the initial lid off! Once done it's easy to close up and open again.PS I might add that I googled everything to figure out how to open it and found nothing specific to this square bucket - not even on their website. Just an FYI

Is is flour.
It is flour. One thing I don't like is about 5 percent of these buckets I buy have the seal ruptured.I called Augason direct. I got the 'Oh sorry, we will replace them.' I don't have time to mess around replacing buckets that should have arrived in tact. Its an amazon thing. They re pack these buckets in a box on their side. Makes them vulnerable to rupturing the seal. The buckets I have bought from Augason do not have Mylar bags inside. This add on would give extra protection.Minus one star for seal issues.
