I have to say this product works for me within two days. My fish tank is super clear. Instructions are very direct. I love this product 😊!

I have been dealing with extreme green cloudiness in my tank just a day after water changes. I felt like I tried everything and I was so disappointed. It took months of failed attempts and a gross looking tank until I came across this product. Just after two days of sitting in my filter, this product cleared up everything. I can finally get joy from looking at my fish tank again!

Worked fine, but sent it back for the non-timer version, I have a timer on my outlet and when the outlet timer would turn on, this light would stay off innless you manually turned it on... Sent this version back for the no timer version, and it works how it should with no issues with the timer on my outlet.

It never worked. The power button looked like it had been through multiple attempts to power it on, even before I tried to turn it on myself. There is very little instruction on how to operate it. We may have just gotten a dud. I was really hoping it would work because the size is ideal to for fitting into the fish tank filter.

Really great UV light, saved my tank water. The light is small enough to fit in the back of my tank filter with the lid closed. It took a full 7 days for the water to become completely clear, but I noticed a huge change from day 1 to day 2, 1000x better than the previous day and much more by day 7. I recommend, though, that when you put this in your filter (don’t put it in the tank, it will harm your fish) that you change the filter so that it can catch all the algae that the UV light is killing to help keep your water clean. The cable has a timer module that can keep the light on for up to 24 hours (recommended for the first 7 days, and then shorten the time after that once the water is clean). I would recommend this UV light if you have an algae problem in your tank, it literally saved my tank water quality. My fish are really happy now. Don’t recommend looking at the UV light for very long, because you can hurt your eyes (just like long exposure can hurt/kill your fish).

We had an algae bloom. Water was spot on on every test. The fish appeared to be thriving even though we couldn't see them. We tried every harsh store bought chemical there was and nothing would kill it. I even did a few 90% water changes and the algae would be back in a day.We decided to give this light a chance on our 20 gallon tank. I can say, it took a week but look at the pictures. How amazing is that. It cleared the tank right up.

I was skeptical at first due to some of the reviews but figured I would try anyway. The price was right so why not? I have a 10 gallon tank that was starting to cloud up due to algae bloom. I had tried changing out part of the water which didn’t make a difference. I plugged this light in and inserted it into the filter right behind the filter cartridge. It has a timer on it with different time increments. I let it run for 48hrs and have seen a noticeable difference. I would definitely recommend it due to how easy it is to use and the price alone. Be advised you will not get instant results as it’s only working on small parts of water at a time but, if you give it time it will work.

I just bought this bulb for my aquarium for in June and the bulb is already dead. Served it’s purpose but started doing way too fast.

works very well for my 20 gl sick aquarium. In 4 days water became clear from green algae. I create my own filter with ceramic jar. Inserted a UV lamp into my old filter and cover all surface with small gravel to protect fish from UV light. I keep my lamp running 24 hours during all days of treatment as people recommended from other revuese. I tried different kind of algae treatments and it looks like only this mini UV lamp helps me to cure water. I recommend to buy this item.

This honestly transformed the hobby for me, BUT: some of you cannot be trusted with this. Before you plug this in, you MUST encase it in something UVC-proof, or you will destroy eyeballs (and also plastics). What I do is lower the bulb into a small ceramic vase, then lower an airstone into the vase on top of the bulb, then fill the rest of the vase with gravel (so no fish can ever see the bulb). Then put the vase in the aquarium. Only then, do I plug in the UVC bulb. The airstone circulates water around the UVC bulb inside the vase. Just leave it on 24/7, because the bulb actually lasts longer if you don't turn it on/off repeatedly.Within a couple days, my aquariums always look crystal-clear. (EDIT: note it can take up to 2 weeks depending on other filtration, and also what the specific organism is clouding the water.) For the very low price, this product is exceptional. It feels like I've discovered a great secret. But only if you're smart enough to put the bulb in something UVC-proof, you should NEVER see the light. Again I recommend ceramic, and then bury it in gravel just to be sure. Do that, and then it's perfectly safe and does fantastic things for your water quality.

These lights do not work. My order contained 2 and in using 2 in a 10 gallon tank with filter there is absolutely no change. Do not order this product if you are looking to clear your tank.
