I was a little skeptical buying furniture off Amazon, but I fell in love with the design of this bookshelf. I couldn’t find another piece like it from other stores or websites, so I pulled the trigger. We have plenty of book and toy storage in the closet, but I realized I don’t have time (aka am too lazy) to keep putting my 18 month old’s books away after our bedtime routine. The front storage on this bookcase was the perfect solution.Pros: The pieces were packed well, especially as my box arrived ripped. Nothing was damaged inside. The materials are coated/painted well and fit together as expected. I’d say it’s a tad better quality than the cheaper pieces at IKEA. Instructions are fairly straight forward, and they intentionally send extra hardware just in case.Cons: The screws are too soft and I stripped the first one with my drill. I ended up using a screw driver for most of the 60ish screws, and ouch do I feel it.It took me about 2 hours to put together. Make sure you assemble on a rug or use the packing pieces. I asked my husband to help me position it in the room as to not scratch the tile floors since it’s pretty heavy.

Have had this set up for almost a year and no signs of wear. Assembly was slow with lots of parts for overall easy and each piece was labeled correctly. The slide door works well; my 2 yr old can operate and move to get to different toys.

The sliding doesn’t work too smoothly. And I feel like the steps don’t make much sense as it wants you to put the boards on the sliding shelf before you put on the hardware which seems backwards. I didn’t notice beforehand or I would’ve just did it. Needing to deal with the entire completed shelf just to screw in some stuff was annoying. And it didn’t let you easily make sure everything would line up properly.A few of the backboards had damage on them but one side was at least intact to use. One of the backboards was very difficult to slide in with the steps, I had to undo cambolts just to be able to slide it in it was too tight otherwise. The other end was fine. There are some minor grey-ish scuffs here and there but aren’t hugely noticeable. The box when it arrived was very worrisome in how much damage it had but it was ultimately okay enoughIt’s very deep as a whole, I measured but seeing it is another thing. Thankfully it does work where I wanted it. The final product looks nice. It’s a decent buy. Just make sure it works in your space and be careful putting it together the instructions are a bit vague at times.Oh nearly forgot, the cam bolts.. well the screw part idk what they’re called, they strip very easily and metal pieces come off it. They feel like they’re cheapy compared to other ones I’ve used.And the unit came with some white cover stickers to place over them, but they didn’t give enough to cover the inside. The left section, right side is completely bare and that has numerous pieces. It had just enough for the sliding shelf, right section and the left’s right side. And the stickers allow you to see the metal behind it slightly. At a distance it isn’t that noticeable but it is when you’re putting them on.

More expensive than I would have liked but overall this shelf is amazing. We put it together in about an hour and it looks and functions great!

So perfect for the kids room. Cleans up the space while still looking sleek. However, it's a little wobbly.

This bookcase is a really nice addition to my son's room. It is very bright white and seems well made. Just some notes, the hardware will not show if you put this together with some spacial awareness of front/back while building it. Like the shelves could be installed either way, with the screws up and showing, or with the screws hidden underneath. You just have to keep in mind what is up/down top/bottom and flip the boards over accordingly. Same for the front base, it could be installed facing the wrong way with hardware facing out if you don't take care. Overall, it was a lot of hardware but no more difficult than the other furniture we have put together this week. This will definitely need to be anchored to the wall. Not because it isn't sturdy but because the rungs from the bookshelf are *not* going to give when a kid inevitably climbs this. The rungs aren't going to pop out like a cheap towel bar, which is something I worried about for my son's safety. I am glad I did not order 2 like I was going to because this thing is huge! Measure first.One last note, the shelves are not connected so there are 6 separate cubicles behind the book part.

This book shelf is everything I thought it would be. It holds so many books, looks great, perfect height for my daughter to reach all shelves, the slider works great. There are only a few books that are either too tall or wide to fit. Highly recommend.
