I like the style. Of it.

I knew this dress would be a little big based on the sizing guide, but it was unwearable until I had it taken in and shortened (I'm 5'4"). After that, I got a ton of compliments!

INTENDED USE: To have a modest, short-sleeved dress primarily for funerals.FOR REFERENCE: I'm 5'6", 135 lbs., pear shaped (flat-chested, nearly flat stomach, long arms, small waist, big rear end, big thighs). Legs are longish, too. Details for ladies with similar body type.SIZE/COLOR I BOUGHT: Black, Medium (based on Amazon's and Amazon reviewers' suggestions of sizing up).WHAT I LIKE: Design of dress; short sleeves for a little warmth, modesty; comfortable and stretchy.WHAT I DISLIKED (AKA DEAL BREAKERS):QUALITY: Dress is see-through, noticeable immediately upon try-on in regular bedroom lighting but especially against natural light. Even when the dress is zip closed (black on black), it shows through. Fine for nighttime use but definitely not daytime. Fabric is thin and though the dress is only $32, this is an issue. I've purchased $40 dresses at Marshall's of much better quality. I tried wearing a slip underneath but mine is too long so it protrudes.I tried wearing black biker shorts underneath but due to the thin quality of the dress, the shorts' seams show through.SIZING: My regular Small size may have fit better than the Medium. The bust area is too big and due to this, it looks wrinkled or bunches up too much if paired with a blazer or sweater. Perhaps if the waist was a little higher, it would resolve this, not sure. Tried the double-bra method under dress, which makes it more flattering and fills it out better, but it's still not sitting right (not to mention the lack of comfort of wearing two bras).OVERALL: Due to the issue with the bust area being too big and the dress being too sheer, I'll sadly be returning this dress. I know I can find shapewear to resolve the sheerness factor but the whole point of buying this dress was to be able to just throw it on with shoes and be done with it. Pairing skirts and blouses can already be fussy enough (tucking the blouse in properly, shifting of pieces, etc.). Will continue my hunt on finding something designed similarly but better quality and better fitting.

The dress itself was okay. However it was very tight and too form fitting. It ran small due to the material. It is also see through. I was hoping not to have to wear a slip etc.order at least 1 to 2 sizes up.

This is super cute on; flattering actually! Of note, the zipper catches at the waistline embellishment every time!

I ordered this for a funeral. It is a good value for the money and is attravtive on. I ordered in my regular size and had to exchange it for a size larger. I'm built fairly straight, no noticeable waist and broad rib cage. As it zips and is fitted up top it didn't work for me in my regular size. If you are built smaller on top and rib cage you will probably be fine, otherwise order up a size

I really like this dress. I bought it and needed to wear it the day it arrived. I fit well - was not tight. I have been looking for a black dress for a few years but always sold out in my size. So glad to have found this dress. Made very well, material is wrinkle free, should last for years. Classic style.

I bought this intending to wear it to a pageant interview. I am petite (5’3”) so I knew the dress was going to be too long when I bought it. However, the bottom half of the dress is see through! The top half of the dress (the bodice) was fully lined but not the bottom half (skirt). Poor design. Instead of wearing spanx underneath and having to hem it I am deciding to return it. Such a shame because it is a cute dress.

I was disappointed in how small this dress was. It felt like it was two sizes smaller. Beautiful dress otherwise.

This dress is beautiful but the seams at the top of the dress have gotten undone after wearing it once

Nicely made. Fits well. Not just for funerals but everday. This could be my favourite for some time. The top is lined inside. The fabric is a bit heavy for summer but fall and winter should be perfect.

I have a few problems with this item: the lining on the inside would make you sweat like crazy; for a tall woman, it cuts you in a very unflattering way and makes you super tall on your bottom half and very short on upper half; material is superrrr cheap and is not like the picture… overall I absolutely would not recommend this for the price point; you can find much better at Winners or The Bay.
